"Excellent location. Room was different than expected with pictures shown. They are a mix of rooms. Once I figured out some things, all was amazing. Quiet. Safe. Comfortable.Great location for exploring the island. Walkable small beaches. Received a lot of different emails about the property and checking in. It made it confusing but figured it out. Its kind of like staying in a friend's guest room. Never really saw anyone."

"It is really very close to the beach, you can even walk it.i also love the place itself. very quiet. The only thing really is the air con is very loud that you can’t sleep! That is the tie breaker. Either you sleep in comfort with the loud sound of the air conditioner blasting loud into your ear or hot but quiet during the night. I always end up turning off the air and just taking off my clothes under the covers Lol. Also the small window by the back porch doesn’t have a curtain so the neighbor...

"It was a decent stay. Would stay again. The bathroom shower needed some attention . Mold and mildewy on the plastic shower curtain liner. Other than that, it was older and a bit dated, but it was comfortable and clean for the most part."

Kona Coast Resort

Kona Coast Resort

8/10 Good
"Clean room, friendly staff, bar by the pool seemed very nice with reasonable prices compared to others in the area. Go to the bar during happy hour 4-6 for $2 off adult beverages. No food discounts. Found 2 large centipedes in our room on the ground floor during our 9 day stay. They come out after the rains. Our dishwasher stopped working after just one use during the 9 day stay. Our biggest complaint about the stay here was the high pressure sales pitch that they attempted to force us to attend. We booked this vacation thru Expedia and paid in full. After traveling all day and a 6 hour flight to get here, the last thing we wanted was to be pressured into attending this sales pitch for a timeshare. On top of that they wanted us to pay $40 to reserve a seat for this sales pitch. They state that it would only be 90 minutes long. They basically take your room key and hold it hostage while they tell you all about attending this sales pitch. It leaves an extremely bitter taste in my mouth going thru this strong arm con. My suggestion if you pay for this place at full price ahead of time is after checking in when they usher you thru to visit the "conceirge" is to politely tell them to buzz off."
