If you are a golfer you will love this place. Free driving range a few feet away. Large rooms, great screened in porch. Kitchen fulling stocked. Loved the hugh pot and gas burner on grill for shrimp boil. Owner very responsive and easy to work with.

Wonderful property that had every necessary item you could ever need. The house is unique and quirky, but so comfortable for a large family. The layout of the kitchen, dining room and living room is perfect for a large family that loves to cook. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. It is amazing to walk out to the driving range. The bikes were so lovely and we used them every day. Having access to the beach club is so convenient. Such a magnificent time!

Loving the porch!

The location, the large screen in porch, the room to sleep our senior tennis players made this house a great place for us to share our friendship. It is an older home that is probably due for some upgrades as new curtains, painting updates, etc. the kitchen is well stocked and has a fantastic large pantry to use. Best of all is that screens porch! Plenty of room for socializing and it does have a great TV out there. Still , more upgrades would had been appreciated since the cushions on the wicker chairs were too worn out. Overall, yes, we will stay there again because this roomy house works for us! The location is perfect, parking is plentiful, the bikes were great to ride to the beach, and the views were awesome!

Awesome Wedding weekend

This home is wonderful. It has so much to offer. We had our daughter’s wedding on the beach at Sonesta and stayed in the house. The house was a great place to entertain guests in between the wedding events. Our granddaughter enjoyed watching the animals (squirrels, rabbits, birds, deers, and alligators) along the back of the property.

Sibling/spouse Vacation

Each year we pick a new place to go. This house was great. The bedrooms/bathrooms were just what we needed. Lots of room for everyone. The screened in porch was great because it gave us a place to still be “outside” during Tropical Storm Debby. The bikes were great too. We did get to use them a few days. It was a wonderful place to be. Would definitely go back. Thank you.

Stunning property with a feel of true southern charm.

Our family felt welcomed at the threshold of this charming southern home. I personally enjoyed the early morning sounds of the ospreys in the nest, the relaxing moments sipping coffee in the outdoor family room, the bike rides to the beaches, pulling together large family meals for the kids, and then watching our teens ride off to the beach knowing they were safe. It felt like home staying here. We are appreciative of the owners communication and hospitality, and for allowing our family to enjoy their beautiful property for the week. A much needed peaceful vacation with the right amount of activity for the kids.

Great New Experience

We have travelled to Hilton Head Island and stayed in Shipyard for 18 years. This year we had the opportunity to experience the HUGE home at 16 St. Johns Place. Fishing is not allowed in Shipyard anymore, which was a huge disappointment for the men. Thank goodness the driving range and golf practice area was right outside our door, because they were able to enjoy themselves nightly with pitch and putt competitions and driving practice. The locker at the beach was a new experience for us too. It made the short bike ride to the beach much more enjoyable because we didn't have to tote all the things on the bike. The well equipped kitchen was also a nice change for us. There are many things in the kitchen that were super useful. There was a stand alone ice maker that never ran out of ice for us, even when we used the electric ice cream maker. In addition the stove, double oven, and warming drawer were awesome. We bought crab legs at Aldi, off the island and my daughter and her boyfriend prepared the best meal for us using all of the appliances. I cannot forget to mention the pots and pans!!! We have packed our own pans to cook breakfast, because we have never had good pans to use in the previous rental spaces. However, I did not have to use our pans in this home, 2 cast iron skillets were used every morning. We spent much of our time when we were "home" in the screened porch! It was awesome, during all parts of the day!

2024 Sims Family Vacation

This house is absolutely amazing. Everything was provided that we needed down to each of us adults having a bike and a carrier for the toddlers. The owner Greg was on top of any questions I had and very nice. The screened in porch was loved by all especially the toddlers. My husband enjoyed going out to the driving range at night to hit some balls and teach our 2 year old granddaughter to hit some balls. The locker on the beach was so helpful. Greg thank you so much we want to stay here in two years for our next Sims Family Vacation. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. We all loved it and felt like we had our own space when needed. We loved the local coffee shop Carolina and Crumble on Pope Road. Again, Greg thank you very much for a amazing place To stay!!!!

Perfect Getaway

This was a great space for four adult couples to spend a holiday weekend together. All four bedrooms are spacious and private, each with an en-suite bathroom. And both the indoor and outdoor shared spaces are inviting and comfortable. While some golfed others had easy access to the community’s beach (you can drive or bike using one of the house’s provided bikes). Our host was quick to respond and very gracious. We would love to come back for another friend’s gathering or family reunion.

Fabulous indoor outdoor living

The house was perfect. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The common living area was open which made it great for a large family. The area that we enjoyed the most was the outdoor screened patio with a fireplace and plenty of seating. There were enough bikes available for 10 people.

Great Place on the Island

Another great trip

This is the perfect location for just about anything you want to do. The house is very spacious with plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms to accommodate our family. An extra bonus is the bridge that connects to the golf house. This is the second year for our family to get together for the week to relax and have fun at this location. Thank you!

Welcoming Retreat

This house was the perfect fit for our family. The amount of room for everyone to spread out and relax was great. We absolutley loved the screened porch, so much so that my wife has decided we have to create a similar space at home. We enjoyed the short walk to the driving range and club house at Shipyard Golf Club. There is also plenty of shopping and dining nearby in addition to all of the recreational activities the island has to offer. The property provided bikes that were a big hit with the family! It was an easy ride to the beach on the bikes, and there are bike paths all over Hilton Head to explore. The beach locker was a nice feature. I would recommend the owner provide additional/newer beach chairs, and a few body boards for enjoying the waves. Thanks for the great experience!

Great Family Vacation!

This was our first family vacation in quite a few years since our kids graduated high school/college! Two our of our 3 kids brought their significant others with them. One of them got engaged on this trip! The house was very roomy with the front den perfect for the 2 working young adults away from the noise! The screened in porch was our favorite room! We loved it for family game nights and listening to the osprey in the morning. The bedrooms were all spacious with plenty of room for all. The house came equipped with a variety of bikes which we utilized daily! I would definitely recommend this home for large families! Greg was quick to respond to anything we had a question about. Location was great! Pretty central to anything! I would definitely return in the future!

Great place to stay!

We had a family get together consisting of 7 adults and a tiny person (3 1/2 yrs. old). The accommodations were great & the house had plenty room for everyone. The house was clean and had a country farm home vibe. My favorite was the very large screened in patio with grill. A great place to visit & catch up while cooking/grilling. The bikes were a real god send. We used them every day. A pretty spot & about as close a location to a golf course as you could get. Throw your bag on your shoulder and walk past the driving range to the pro shop. Really had limited interaction with Greg, because we really just didn't need anything. The one time we did he was very quick to respond. A great spot that we would love to return to!

Lovely spacious house

There was plenty of room for our 2 families - 8 people (4 adults and 4 teens). The kitchen is well-stocked and the screened-in porch is lovely. The bikes were in great condition and were used daily to go to the beach. There's a locker at the local beach that had chairs and some sand toys that are available for use - very convenient. My only issue was the downstairs bed apparently was a fancy 'air adjusted bed', but I didn't realize! Greg was easy to work with. Overall a great experience.

Perfect house for a large family vacation

The house worked out great for our family of 12. Everyone loved the open floor plan in the kitchen and family room, bathrooms in each bedroom with plenty of hot water for showers, and the nice long kitchen table that we could all enjoy eating our meals together and play board games. The separate ice maker, warming oven, and extra refrigerators to keep water and drinks cold was so handy. The large screened in porch was a fun place to gather which also had a grill. An extra plus was the bicycles that our two families used to talk a long bike ride and to the beach. The owner was so nice and very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house to a group of 10-12. people.
