Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church

Nice hotel. Decent rooms. However, the temperature outside dropped to the 50’s and the AC unit automatically locks into energy saving mode- which locks at 70° and is heat only. After two trips to the front desk (and a steady line of others with the same complaint), the only solution offered was to turn the AC off entirely and open the window, which we had no choice but to do since it was uncomfortably warm. I did not realize I made a reservation for open air camping in NYC. The choices were to either sleep in a hot room or city noise and smells all night. It was a terrible experience. Lesson learned- make sure to check limitations placed on AC before booking anywhere (and never here again).

Great location & staff was friendly & very helpful.
