Adorable house!!! In heart if everything. It may have been to big for just two couples. But I didn't care because it was so cute. Love sitting in the backyard loved watching the birds and morning doves.

Cute house in a perfect location!

We had a great weekend in Hermann and at the Historic District Inn. We had 3 couples and each was able to have there own space/bathroom. The upstairs is not made for taller people. The shower in the bathroom on the left required us to get on our knees to get lower than the shower head. But that just added to the fun of the weekend. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to everyone!

21st Birthday weekend

Love the location of this property! Very walkable to restaurants and stores. The kitchen has a lot to accommodate a big group. Could use a little deep cleaning under the pull out couch and kitchen floor. Overall I would stay here again!

Wonderful weekend

Property was large and comfortably fit 4 couples for a birthday wine weekend. Our host even allowed us an earlier check in so I could put up decorations as a surprise for the event! Central location to many of the wineries and distilleries in town too. Only complaint was there were several large flies in the building and wasps right outside the back door. Very small in comparision to the wonderful weekend we had wondering around the town.

Beautiful home with perfect location!

The house was absolutely perfect for the 6 of us girlfriends. The owner has it decorated so darn cute, we all wished we could live there! Location of the house is wonderful, close to all the shopping and restaurants. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us, the house was very clean and the backyard was SO nice to sit outside and relax. We will definitely be back the next time we come to Hermann! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!

A couple nights in Hermann, Missouri

The house was good, especially the beds and living room, kitchen, and back yard! It was close to the downtown area so we could walk to most things. Some of the outdoor furniture was broken. And there were lots of bees. The steps to the upstairs were steep especially for older people. The description on the bedroom and bathroom locations were confusing on VRBO (we didn’t realize 2 of the 3 bathrooms were upstairs. Still, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect

This is the cutest house! We booked this house for a wedding and it was perfect. We had 2 couples and 4 kids and this house was plenty spacious. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable. The property is beautiful and it’s very close to all the cute shops in downtown Hermann. We will 100% stay here again! Also, the hosts were extremely gracious to mail my husband’s belongings back to us after we got home and realized we left a few items there. It was so much appreciated. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful house

We stayed here the weekend our son got married. We were very impressed with the decor, and space within the house! There were 6 of us and there was more than enough room. The location is PERFECT for exploring the town on foot. The upstairs bathrooms have tiny showers that don't seem to get hot water, but the main floor bathroom gets warm enough. More importantly, the only thing keeping me from booking again would be the beds in the rooms on the main floor. Both rooms have king sized beds, which is larger than expected, but they are the firmest most uncomfortable mattresses. This could be corrected by adding mattress toppers, and it is desperately needed! I really hope owners read this and make that change because I would absolutely LOVE to stay here again with my family, but we have to be able to sleep.

Impeccable location

The house was very spacious for our group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children. The two bedrooms on the main level each had a king size bed which was perfect. However, they do share 1 bathroom. The steps leading upstairs are very steep so the children stayed upstairs. They had a queen bed in both of the spacious bedrooms and each room had a bathroom. We didn’t cook as we were in town for a wedding but the kitchen looked well equipped. It has a regular brew coffee pot that worked great. The house was spacious and had a nice outdoor area out back. Great chairs for sipping our morning coffee. There is a parking lot next to the house that did fill up daily but street parking was also available. The location is absolutely perfect for walking and checking out the town. I would definitely recommend this home. We had no issues during our stay that required us to contact the owner.

Christmas at Historic District Inn Guest House

Complimentary bottle of wine. We loved that! Very well decorated, spacious, updated, and clean, older (historic :) house with older house charm and quirks. The house was a bit cold on arrival, 57 F. So it wasn't the most comfortable that day/night, that said however, we had just come from waking up to frozen water pipes that morning at our own house and our furnace being out, so it was 44F that morning in our home :/, 57F not so bad then, all a matter of perception. :) Anyway, we had difficulty figuring out the rental house thermostats, so more detailed instructions on those would be helpful. Sometime during the night we got them to reset and they seemed to work fine after that, the house warmed up. One of the upstairs bathrooms had no water the first day and night and part of second day, maybe due also to the cold. And one of the electric breakers tripped while we were there but we didnt have access to the breaker box to check it or reset it. My husband works for an electric company, so we could have easily done that. An electrician came next morning and reset the breaker. Everything worked fine after that. All in all it is a very cute place, very clean with plenty of nice linens to use. The owner is very attentive and helpful with resolving any issues as promptly as possible. It was perfectly sized for our group of 6 (but it would accommodate 4 couples easily) says it sleeps 10 people, but that is with some on rollouts), for our group everyone (2 couples and 2 single girls) got their own bedroom and 2 people per bathroom worked well. We would rent it again. Just keep in mind that it is an older house with older house charm and quirks. :) Hermann is a beautiful town with friendly down-to-earth people, and a great place to visit, maybe better when it's a little warmer though.

Bourbon Fest

This is our 3rd year in this home and we love everything about it!! Has everything we need to cook on the grill for an evening meal of Brauts from Wursthaus. Takes care of 9 people getting ready in the morning for the day! Back yard fire pit to enjoy an evening with family and friends. Hope to be back next year!

The location is centralized. There were lots of linens and towels. It was big enough for 6 of us to sit in the living room. The bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for a girls’ weekend.

30th Birthday Party

We had a group of family and friends helping to celebrate a milestone birthday. The house was perfect! Enough room for our guests inside and out. The weather was wonderful, so we sat in the backyard and listened to the music from Tin Mill just at the end of the block. Easy walking distance to shops, food and trolley. Talking of coming back and would definitely rent this again!

Access to everything downtown!

This is a nice place to stay. It is right there by downtown and provides walking access to many shops, breweries and distilleries.It was clean and comfortable. We only had a couple of hiccups but they were resolved. Be sure to check out the book with instructions for the heat. We were there on a cold weekend and were confused at how to operate the heat as it was marked a/c only. We did have an issue which the owners dealt with and we appreciated that so much!We would stay here again. Only thing-upstairs bathrooms are not conducive for taller people with height of ceiling and showerhead. But-again it did not stop our enjoyment of the location.
