「Lovely cottage. Welcoming and homely with everything provided that we needed. Good place for a relax and good walking for the dog.」

「We had a lovely week at the cottage, only one point taken off for comfort as we found the sofas very low and tired, we are seniors and maybe that’s why we were needing firm seats. Our hosts were both friendly and helpful and we were intrigued by the amount of squirrels 🐿️ constantly removing nuts from the tree opposite this was very entertaining. The weather was very kind to us only saw one day of showers. We were warm and happy with our accommodation and the area which we know very well, we...

The house is in a great area for the centre of Pickering and a few shops within a few minutes walk so ideal. Firstly we struggled to get into the property as the lock was a bit temperamental. 「Clean, organised flat in a lovely area. The hosts communication was great throughout, and there was a great guest book containing recommendations for the local area.」

「Hungate cottages are perfectly placed near to Pickering town centre. Beautiful complex of converted barns and cottages. Our cottage was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a great week, thank you.」

「Beautifully renovated cottage with comfortable bed and modern washroom. Conveniently located for exploring Guisborough and helpful guidebook with suggestions for the kids and adults. The grocery store is a 5-minute block away also. Andy was very helpful and easy to communicate with.」

「Great accommodation as advertised. 」

「It’s well situated and a nice place to stay. 」

「Communication with the owner was excellent as was the presentation of the property. Garden Cottage was well equipped and maintained.」

We also enjoyed exploring the local area and found some great restaurants. We were lucky with the weather so made the post of it with visits to Whitby, Scarborough, Dalby Woods, the Moors and of course Pickering village. Great family break. Highly recommend. My only criticism would be the bed in the master bedroom was too firm for our liking. Everything else was...
