The hotel is comfortable, very clean with a nice large room and shower. My issue is that they no longer have a shuttle service and you have to get to the hotel from the airport on your own. The only reason we booked was because of the shuttle. There is a bus that is conveniently located but we weren’t able to take it until our return. The issue is that we waited for 30 minutes in the freezing cold, crazy wind and rain for a shuttle that I was told via messages would come. We called the hotel when it didn’t and were told they no longer offer the shuttle. They had an opportunity to let me know via message as I reached out 2 days prior. We had to spend 40 euros for a taxi because it was late, peak time and short Ubers. Once we finally arrived to the hotel we were not welcomed or greeted kindly at all. Completely nonchalant and when we told her about our experience she didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and just said to take the bus back in the morning. Very disappointing after a long travel day.

I had stayed in a Social Hub in Madrid and found it to be an excellent alternative to main stream hotels. The one in Amsterdam was not the case. The location for this hotel is not very good. We were assigned a handicap accessible room without requiring nor requesting one. They did change our room but unfortunately the air conditioning in that room did not work. When I enquired at the desk I was told that none of the rooms had air conditioning because it was illegal in Europe to have AC. This is of course false. The rooms were climate controlled except our room was about 25-28 degrees even though the thermostat was set to 18. They said they would send someone but never did. We survived by opening the window and luckily the fall weather kept the room comfortable for sleeping. We did not spend any daytime hours in the room. Overall, for the money we paid, we could have had a much better hotel room, closer to the city centre and in a safer, more friendlier area. I do not recommend staying at this location.

Kettle not working in room. Took quite a while fur reception staff to sort. Key card to room didn’t work on our 2nd night which after a long day sightseeing & a 5 year old this was a bit of a stress but staff sorted quickly. No apology or explanation as to why from staff

Nice accommodation- 5bed room for whole family was good and nice having a microwave and small shop for snacks in reception. Staff friendly and helpful. We drove to park and ride about 25 mins from hotel and took fast metro straight into centre of Amsterdam. Mc Donald’s couple of mins walk away from hotel. Plenty parking on site for max 15 euro a day and no need to book it.
