Fast check in, clean room, friendly and helpful staff. It's not the fanciest hotel in the world, but it isn't claiming to be. Good range of tea/coffee in the room, comfy bed, and easy to use air conditioning in the room. Walking distance to a small town centre with lots of food options, and literally next door to a petrol station if you just wanted a snack. Would definitely stay again.

The room was fine, it was clean but a little dated. The beds (2 singles) though were very uncomfortable. One had the springs poking through. On asking for a mattress topper or a different mattress, the response was that this was not possible. Mattress toppers were later added but why indicate this is not possible when it is? We were cold on the first night and requested a blanket. We were informed that the hotel did not have any blankets! After considering moving hotel we were given a second duvet each which did the job.

Birch Hotel Stay

Great hotel and a welcome tour down history. Nice rooms, modern renovations and has everything needed inside rooms. Luggage was carried up to room for me as staircases are quite narrow, but it's part of the old character of hotel and beautifully maintained. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I'd stay here again anytime
