This was a wonderful hotel and the staff is absolutely amazing. we originally booked at another place which was closed for renovation. this made us very skeptical. But it turned out wonderful.

Under construction
Upon arrival to Vietnam, we were informed this hotel was under construction and we were transferred to a sister property. Not as nice, no spa.

Friendly front desk reception. Breakfast area a bit over crowded at times with lots of people. The rooms are not very sound proof - we had noisy people on either side of our room and had to be moved. The hotel did not hesitate to move us and were understanding. Overall I would classify this hotel as average, clean and comfortable but too noisy for my liking.

Beware
We booked 3 rooms for 4 people (1 double, 2single), but whole we paid for it, they didn't have the room. They don't really care about their customers so the only thing they agreed on was to add a rollaway bed making the room even more crowded.
Would absolutely not recommend them as you might not get what you paid for.
Everything was fine despite I the fact got lesser room than I paid for.

very nice hotel
upgraded immediately upon arrival. A/C excellent. breakfast buffet varied but not a great selection; eggs were made to order. room small but shower excellent. hotel is close to the lake and the center of town.
At first glance I thought the room a bit dingy. But it warmed on me. It really is a good hotel and very centrally-located. The restaurant on the top floor is run by young people but has a varied menu of well-cooked food and excellent views over the rooftops of Hanoi. I watched the New Year fireworks from the rooftop. The breakfast was reasonable. The only downside was a loose fitting shower pipe.
