"Managers special apps, cheese squares & chips? Room was great! Looked forward to breakfast. Place was over rum by Bus Tours, several buses. Single breakfast chef taking omelet and egg orders was buried and other breakfast items were running low to out! If packed management to staff more appropriately. Paid the price in the room expense for services. We went down the road and got breakfast or our start to the day. Think Embassey Suites has slipped a bit in their standing. Have other choices!!!!!! Just Saying"

"Our rooms were clean although missing a pillowcase for the pullout couch and the shower flower mate. The room offered plenty of space and comfortable. The view was very nice. The breakfast had many options and very clean eating area. Breakfast time was from 6:30-9am. It would have been nice to have breakfast until 10am just to cut down the congestion of people right before breakfast was over."

"Dead bugs in drawers, hair in tub, burns in the bed throw, door to hallway was patched. If I hadn't prepaid I would have left. Neighborhood very sketchy. Photos online must be old, looks worn out. "

"The location of the house was next to an interstate under construction. Very noisy at night hearing cars and trucks driving across the interstate, difficult to sleep. The lake on the side of the house was a nice view. The house was a nice size for our family of 6, but wasn't as clean as we would have liked it to be. The vents in the ceiling were filthy, which could cause health issues. The furniture in the bedrooms was not dusted thoroughly and the twin bed had hair follicles on the sheets when we pulled the covers back. Some of the kitchen drawers were off track, and the ice maker didn't work until the last day we were there. Found a dirty dish in the cabinet.One of the garage doors would only open half way. No code to open the garage from the outside. In the living room and one of the bedrooms, there are confederate items displayed. In the living room, there is a picture of a confederate officer on the wall, and a chess set displaying confederate soldiers and other statues on the board. The owners may want to be cognizant of the fact that those displays could be offensive to customers that stay at the property. "

"The check-in process was seamless. We did have a breakdown in communication, with an issue that arose with the stove top. Lisa did explain the delay in communication, but that was after we had already checked out. The house was pretty clean other than the oven, but it was also not used during our stay. "

"The River retreat was quaint and had everything one might need. There are other potential tenants in the house in front, but they were respectful and nice. Unfortunately I was there when the remnants of a tornado went through, so it was rainy and I didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area much, but I can see how it would be lovely in good weather! All in all, it was a very plesant stay."
