"The room was clean, but it was dark. Some of the lights did not work. The toilet in my room ran all night long. It was running when I got there and ran continually. None of the charging ports worked in the room. The shower was clean, but the surround was old and could use some upgrade. One of the elevators was perpetually stuck on 2 - going up or down, the light stayed on and it stopped every time. The staff was friendly."

"I’ve always had a great stay at the Carnegie. This stay was great until the end. I had to go back in to retrieve a receipt. The gentleman was helping another customer while I was waiting. A lady came to the counter. Never asked if I needed anything, barely acknowledged my presence. A gentleman stepped off the elevator. She acknowledged him and asked if she could help him. I didn’t allow my anger to get the best of me; however, I will never forget this experience. I will always remember her face."

"Staff members were consistently helpful. Deserving of special mention weee Nico at the desk, who helped me through a long and complicated snafu with Hotels,com, who seemed not to want to send my payment to the hotel. Nico was the perfect gentleman, never raising his voice with Hôtels,com or even expressing his frustration (though I myself blew up at them). What an excellent young man, an asset to Holiday Inn. The other was the marvelous Latina who helped diners at breakfast. She was courteous, energetic, and friendly, always wearing a big smile. Her English was excellent, even as I practiced my schoolboy Spanish. If all employees were like these two shining examples, we would be happy travel indeed. Thank them ( and others ) for a grand stay!!!!!!!!!! Bill, Richmond. BRAVISSIMA!!!!!!!"
