The Grey Bull B&B was a very nice surprise. The room was more modern than the pictures on hotels.com suggest. I was expecting something more dated or old fashioned but I was presently surprised. The double room was small, but comfortable and well designed. They ask that you do not eat in your room, but they have a large kitchen/diner for you to use their cutlery and plates. They would even wash up for you! It is perfectly located for Hadrian's wall and Haltwhislte itself was beautiful and had all the necessary amenities. There were also a lot of nice touches, such as a refrigerator with fresh milk for your tea and coffee, a basket of needed bathroom supplies, including plasters! I rarely re-visit places but I will certainly come back here.

The best kept Secret in haltwhistle

We had two nights at the grey bull,which was Lovley the staff are very helpful and friendly,had a great time, the breakfast is fantastic.

Handy for Hadrian's Wall

One night stay while walked walking Hadrian's Wall. Freshly cooked breakfast to keep us going. Owners very helpful. Haltwhistle a lovely little town and well worth a visit. Plenty to do locally, even if you're not into walking. I

Nice little find. A bit run down (old) but clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comes with a lovely breakfast. Was offered a cup of coffee while we were checking in!

super schönes kleines Hotel mit herzlichem Empfang,liebevoll eingerichtet.sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer mit Liebe zum Detail.Der Empfang beim Frühstück sehr herzlich und eine leckere große Auswahl beim Frühstück. Sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar wenn man etwas Essen gehen will oder was einkaufen muss.

Nice B & B in quaint town

We needed a place to stay so we could hike Hadrians Wall. The Grey Bull was an ideal place to stay in Haltwhistle. Host was very helpful and I recommend it.

Excell;ent B&B. Welcoming host,good breakfast,comfortable room. Secure bike storage. Good for several nights accommodation if needed as there is a lounge area and you can bring back takaways to eat in the lounge.
