"Relaxing and lovely spot, can’t beat the beautiful beach right out the door with pelicans floating by. Setting is definitely unique, but friendly and chill and the space very comfortable. In particular we really enjoyed the pool for our 2 year old. Some minor mishaps in communication ahead of check in but they were resolved with care and responsiveness, and we got to thoroughly enjoy the weekend. "

"This was our first visit to Celestún, and it was a memorable one. The photos of the property were very accurate—it’s nicely decorated, clean, and charming. The location is fantastic, just steps from the beach. It was such a treat to wake up and walk a few steps to watch the sunrise over the ocean. "Perfect and beautiful view of sunset, right on the water, ocean view, clean and comfy stay, massage was great, only thing is the parking is not on the property and is out on the open. But a place to surely stay and experience quite and peaceful moment."

"We stayed in 4 of these new hotels within 2 weeks. This one was empty and felt sad to be so forgotten and unused after a year. The hotel DESPERATELY NEEDS SIGNS ON THE ROAD. You have to call for directions. Google Maps is wrong and staff knows this. Unlike every other hotel, this was unmarked and we spent over an hour trying to navigate without a WiFi signal. The road to the hotel is long with blind spots. It will take 20 min from the road. Not sure who planned that absurd bike line but a two lane would feel safer. The price and pool, amenities staff are great but wow, but a sign on the road or send txts to guests like the others did. Food was best here. "

"The staff and service is exceptional, from a cold towelette and welcome drink on arrival to setting a small bonfire in front of our evening dining table for ambience. This was our second stay. The converted old hacienda is a delight. It is small and tranquil, located in a rather remote area in a small pueblo which is safe but doesn't have any activities. There are all two pools, a garden with a demonstration of Mayan indigenous medicinals and herbs (if you are lucky to be there at the right time), a spa (which I haven't used), a wonderful restaurant (dining on the veranda), and a library with books and games located in the 1909 administration building of the hacienda (which looks like a church). Exceptionally clean and staff is so attentive that the bottled water we had consumed upon arrival at 4pm was replaced by 6 pm while we were strolling the grounds. Rooms are comfortable and serene, but not lavishly appointed or modern, keeping with the atmosphere of the hacienda. Mattresses and pillows are very comfortable and with crisp, high-end sheets. Rooms have good A/C. We had a hiccup with our hot water and the management quickly attended to it. Can't wait to return to this special place."

"The host cancelled night one of the stay as we were pulling up to the front door. There were limited communications about the stay until a few hours before check in -- and then, as mentioned, as we were showing up we were told there was a medical emergency and we were unable to stay at least the first night at the property. We ended up cancelling the whole stay (with the hosts blessing) and stayed somewhere else in town. I'd never attempt to go back and would never trust this host again."

"Host sent a second link to pay after initial payment to Vrbo. Once asked about using the card on file from Vrbo instead of their own link, they never responded. It was too late to receive cancel our booking and receive a refund but we did not stay at this location. "
