Highly recommend this to anyone wants to stay in gyeongju. Extermlly clean and well maintained. The host is very welcoming and they have a nice little kitchen for you to enjoy your breakfast.

My son and I had a wonderful stay! Thank you for the warm welcome. We especially enjoyed the lovely breakfast, local recommendations, heated floors and central but quiet location. We were able to walk to many of the cultural sites, which was perfect!

Good points first - great location close to nice restaurants, cafes and historical sites. The garden view from the room was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting there with the doors open. The rooms were more spacious than other hanoks we’ve been to and the bathrooms were modern. A simple breakfast is included. Cons - soundproofing between rooms isn’t great which is to be expected with hanoks even with modern builds. Most of the time it’s fine as other guests are usually respectful and quiet. The first night, we slept well. The second night, we didn’t sleep well because the rude family next door was shouting and laughing loudly until nearly midnight despite us asking them to keep it down. I would still recommend a hanok stay but it depends on luck whether you get crappy guests or not.

Excellent location to explore the historic Gyeongju. Took the train from Seoul to Gyeongju and then a bus from train station took us directly to the hanok. There’s a convenience store around the corner so you can get everything you need. Main tourist attractions are within walking distance. And the main tourist area is 10 minutes walk around with lots of restaurants and shops. Room is warm and it’s an experience sleeping on futon which took some getting used to. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful building.

Hard as a rock with factory white bread
Beautiful setting, convenient to historical sites. However, the sleeping mats were less than one inch thick. Literally hard as a rock. Floor is heated, which was nice in winter. Towels are the size of hand towels and extremely thin. Breakfast is instant coffee, packaged white bread with jam, and an orange. Very disappointing.
