Cameron's Beach Front

Cameron's Beach Front is a private site 400m off the West Coast cycle trail located 15 min away from the Greymouth Township and 20 min from the Hokitika Township. Nestled in 5 acres of native bush, only a one minute walk from door to beach front, and your choice of two twenty minute walks along the beach to the Taramakau River or New River, you'll see the best of the West Coast's outdoors.

-Private Beach access, ideal for fishing/white baiting.
-short drive to Shantytown.
-If fold out bed(s) are used an additional charge of $25.- per person
will occur.

Peaceful location

The property is set in an amazing location. So very peaceful and lovely beach walks available right on the door step. Sadly we left a night early because there was an awful smell in the property. We didn’t report this until after leaving as we didn’t feel comfortable to do so. Our hosts were welcoming but we felt a little invading of privacy with coming over each day. We understand the initial introductory but to come and ask where we have been and say it was a little late for you to go have breakfast was in honest opinion a little weird and threw us back. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not ok. There was hair and built up dust in the bathroom and hair in the main bed. Cooking and kitchen facilities were awesome. I know I should have brought up our issues with the host inside but we didn’t feel comfortable. It was also unusual we thought there were keys to lock the doors but they don’t lock. I did send a message after leaving to let them know why we left a day early due to not being able to handle the smell. I was greeted with a message basically telling me there is no issue. I didn’t want to leave a bad review as the location is amazing. It appears we are the only ones who feel this way so maybe it’s just not the right fit for our needs.

Magic dog friendly Bach by the beach

We spent a week here and loved it. So relaxing and wonderful for the dog (we all spent many happy hours wandering the beach). Friendly hosts. Note there is not currently an oven, but excellent stove meant we had plenty of cooking options. We hope to come back one day.

Just the right spot

Great place for peace and quiet and walks on the beach.This place had everything we needed (including comfortable beds), lots of space, great hosts and direct access to the beach.

Perfect beach property

Beautifully located in private quiet space. Lovely owners, welcoming, spacious with extremely comfortable king size beds, kitchen, towels and linens. Direct access to beach. Highly recommended and we want to come back soon!

Tranquility in Paradise

A typical Kiwi Bach, with fabulously comfortable beds!!We loved the privacy and serenity of this lovely spot.We will be back whenever we need to escape the city.Everything we needed in the way of utensils etc was there.It was such a treat to be able to light a fire on the beach, toast marshmallows and watch the sunset.Lovely free range eggs available too, so take some cash :)

Excllent stay

I am a bit jealus not to have such a wonderful home directly at the beach (200 meters to the water at high tide).Tavanna and Tove are wunderful attent hnoos. Even my mishaps with the burned kettle hast been no big issue.The fresh eggs of their free run flock we're among the best I ever had.
