Room was basic but sufficient for an overnight stay between lengthy travel days. Asked for more towels and they were immediately supplied even after a late night check-in.
I had such a lovely stay at this beautiful property, nestled against a wonderful mountain backdrop. The room was very clean and smelled wonderfully fresh, and the bed was comfortable, just perfect for a restful night. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my stay. The entire property is in excellent condition, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful.
A very good over night stay for a basic stop. Mgr was very cordial and informative re area attractions.
Room had everything you need - 1960's Route 66 vibe. We were very happy for an over night, especially with extremely nice mgr. All the basics for $70 - very satisfied.
Very clean - all ammendities there - fridge, MW, WIFI. Easily accessible from highway.
We go back and forth from DFW to PHX. Great overnight stop. Will stop again.
This is an old motel, but it was fresh and clean and worked well for our one night stay. The night person who checked us in at 9 pm was super friendly and funny. Suggestions to the management would be to add coffee makers and hair dryers to the rooms. Also a couple more pillows for the bed.
Great mountain views right outside! The atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. This newly renovated gem on Route 66 made us feel instantly at home. Everything from the bed and TV to the appliances and linens seemed brand new. We had such a restful stay, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, comfortable getaway.
The good: The staff was very friendly, the carpet was new.
The bad: I got up in the middle of the night and found a spider on my toothbrush at the bathroom sink. The shower was clogged. The parking lot is not paved, all dirt. The area is very sketchy.
I had a fantastic stay at this charming and cozy motel. The room was very clean, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the best parts was the location. It's right next to a buffet restaurant and within easy walking distance of our favorite Mexican restaurant, so grabbing dinner or breakfast was super convenient. The atmosphere around the motel was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!
This little motel was the perfect stop on our trip! The owner is the nicest gentleman, and he was very accommodating. We got a pet friendly room, with ample space.
This is a classic Route 66 hotel, not the Holiday Inn! A classic motel with modern features (roku tv and super nice beds)! The best part? A movie was filmed here! How cool.
Everything was simply wonderful — from the friendly front desk staff to the cozy comfort of my room. The space was spotless and well-maintained, and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on! Having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room made things so convenient and added a thoughtful touch to my stay. I couldn’t be happier with my experience!
The rooms has been refreshed but kept its old world charm of a classic Route 66 motel.
I literally stopped for a 6 hour nap so it was great for my use. Bed and towels were very nice & there brand new doors, locks & heater.
It’s certainly not a “high end” resort but it was a fantastic value compared to the “free breakfast” places near by.
The battery was dead on the ring camera by the office so it took a few minutes to get the desks attention but they were super apologetic and made the rest to check in great.
I was only supposed to stay at this location for 2 nights with my dog and cat. I ended up extending for a night -- twice. David is so nice and welcoming, and it was a really pleasant stay. Check-in was fast and easy. The room was very clean, the hot water and pressure was great, and it was easy to bring all of my luggage inside and take it back out, since I parked right outside the room on the first floor. The price was great for such a pleasant and worry-free stay. There's a Walmart Supercenter, Autozone, and O'Reilly, just 5 minutes away, as well as a good laundromat (Capri Laundromat) that has free dryer use from Monday through Friday (you have to wash your clothes there first, of course). I would definitely stay there again!
Check in was etraordinarily good. The staff was extremely friendly, giving us cold bottled water that he offered. With the fan on in the room, we did not hear the train just across the highway unless we were already awake. The bed was very comfortable and had very nice bedding. The parking lot was small, but there was additional parking in an adjacent lot.

The room smelled fresh and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. One problem was that they were platform beds and the mattresses did not fully cover them so the corners stuck out further than the end of the mattresses and was a shin killer.
There is a train track just across the street so it was noisy all night.
Exactly what we were looking for for a nights sleep mid road trip. Clean, simple, comfortable room and good service. The man at check in was very friendly and helpful (even offered to help carry luggage because I was so tired looking and we were on the top floor). Room was clean with newer amenities (fridge, desk, etc). Rain shower head was a nice bonus. Bed was comfy. Blanket is a little thin so don’t be dumb like us and forget to turn the heater on this time of year when temps drop below freezing (once we turned on the heater it warmed right up). All in all a good experience for the price, couldn’t have asked for more. Traveler tip if you haven’t stayed in Grants before- the train and highway run past every establishment in town so bring your earplugs.

The front desk was very nice. Room was clean. Feel like they are trying to improve the motel because I saw some new fixtures, etc. So, an A for effort, but a D for delivery. Roku TV was worthless. Internet was worthless. Could not adjust water in shower- Only hot water - ouch! Deadbolt lock would not engage. No safety chain. Area does seems safe however. If you like freight train rumbling noises at night (which I do), you will hear it all night long. Mattress was a bit hard.
Room was very clean. I was made feel welcome from the moment I checked in.
This motel had been updated with new paint, new tile, new bathroom fixtures; but still is the straightforward motel room of days past. If you like excess and consumption this is not the place for you.
When I travel with my dog I want a simple place on the ground level (my dog is old) that is not too fancy, where I can use the WiFi and watch some TV. This fit the bill.
Each room has a microwave and a little fridge so you can bring in your own snacks/drinks.
The area around Grants is beautiful, so I enjoyed exploring. This was where I chose to rest my head for the night.
For those that can't sleep with noise you need to know that all of the main strip of Grants is parallel to the train tracks. I grew up next to a train town in the Midwest so it didn't bother me, but I feel like folks should know in case that would impact their sleep.
I like supporting local NM businesses, and the Leisure Lodge Motel price is so reasonable! Kudos to the owner and manager! I will stay here again.
