Such a cute spot to stay

My a/c went out on the last night. I called twice to have them send an engineer to repair. No one came. It was 80 degrees so I had the overhead fan on overnight. When I checked out the next day, I complained to them about the hot humid room and lack of follow up about repairing it, but the front desk just said “sorry” and handed me my receipt. There was also a lot of noise from next door and room above: voices and running footsteps.

I enjoyed my stay at the Margaritaville San Diego hotel. The location was great. I just wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality and also the land shark restaurant was really good. Thank you again.

Listen, once you start charging a resort fee, you’d better be a full fledged resort. This is not. Yes, it has a small pool and (?) inflatable cold plunge pools, lol. That doesn’t make it a resort. It’s a golf club that wants to offset its fees with revenue from tourists. Add that to the nonstop smoking in other rooms (think Vegas without the fun), the surprise fire alarm at 11 pm and the 4:30 am wake up courtesy the guys in the room next door SCREAMING at each other and I’d call this anything but a relaxing resort like experience.

Our room was very quiet despite the lively neighborhood. Ocean view was unobstructed. Very clean and well maintained. Although there is a charge for parking, it’s worth it to have a spot in their underground garage.
