"Beautiful location, road getting in is a little sharp but best location of all the hotels we stayed at. The staff is amazing and wonderful. The food for dinner was excellent. Close to Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall and meeting points for glacier activities like snowmobiling. Also close by is the tomato farm for lunch. "

"Our stay at Torfhus Retreat was great. The location is perfect for exploring the Golden Circle – we could easily visit major sites without exhausting drives. The hospitality was warm and genuine, making us feel completely at home. One of our favorite surprises was the charming Icelandic horses at the fence from the neighboring farm – we got some wonderful photos of these beautiful creatures.
The food was wonderful throughout our stay. Breakfast provided everything we needed to start our days of adventure, and the four-course dinners each evening were truly memorable. We can't recommend Torfhus Retreat highly enough for anyone planning to explore Iceland's Golden Circle."
