"He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. "As a wedding photographer who refers a lot of clients, I wanted to try Everwild out first. Pros: New, lots of spa rooms and variety with hydrotherapy, clean hotel and updated rooms, easy parking, restaurant on-site. Wristband to pay for things / get into lockers. Cons: issue with check in, staff told me to call expedia, expedia told me only hotel could make the changes (it was a stressful start), didn't feel as upscale upon checkin as pomeroy does, we were not notified that there would be active construction during our stay (a very loud backhoe during full treatment time if 3.5 hours which was distracting) we would have liked to have been at least told about it beforehand or offered a discount as the price is similar to pomeroy, beanbag chairs in domes were wet (ew) perhaps cedar recliners would be better? The fence was only 6 feet so we could still see the highway and hear a lot of road noise- not super relaxing, cell phone use wasn't enforced (A man was FACETIMING from one of the pools...) They kick you out of the treatment rooms for "rituals" where you have to stand in line to wait to get back in...tough to book into the rituals ahead of time. Restaurant options felt a bit limited. You can't add bacon to a burger? Rooms had price tags on the lotions - it just didn't feel upscale. Overall it was "okay" I am not sure if I'll be back yet or if I feel comfortable referring my clients there. "

"We were quite pleased with our stay. It was clean and well set up. Only complaint was with communication. We asked for clarification if blankets and pillows were provided and didn’t get a clear answer so packed them as that wouldn’t be ideal not to have. When we arrived the bed was made with blankets and pillows. "

"Close to town - walking distance to a coffee shop, brewery, cidery, bakery, and more. Very family friendly with a playground, communal BBQs, and a seaonal pool. Does allow for dogs but you have to keep them off of the furniture however they provide dog beds, a toy, and dog bowls. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Onsite parking was easy and plentiful. Our room was a one bedroom walk out which made it very easy with the dogs as the bike path was steps away. Will stay again. Tip: if you are hungry Tavern 1883 has a dog friendly patio and 40% off everything during happy hour - their platter was enough food for us for almsot 2 full days. "
