"Positive. - Staff when we arrived. Very nice. Great explanations. Good recommendations for restaurant. - breakfast is inclused. Limited choice but very good Negative - high level of humidity in the room. - smell of humidity as well as mold - the mattress is really bad. Both of us ended up in the middle. "Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain! "

"The experience was incredible good. We traveled driving from Porto to ACoruña. And stayed here for two days. The first and last of our trip. We travel a lot and this place really was a good experience. Perfect and simple design with great attention to details. The cleaning is immaculate . We have the opportunity meeting the owner. Amazing hard worker guy. Excellent team. We definitely recommend Alma Candida 100 percent. Small place but warm, quiet and again, very clean. We will come back . Thanks Joao. "
