We enjoyed our stay at Rene's home very much. The pool and hot tub were amazing! I was a bit disappointed with the Galveston beaches so I spent many days floating around the beautiful pool. The landscaping around the pool made me feel as though I was on a tropical island. The house was spacious and fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our week, We loved spending time on the back deck enjoying the view of the river/canal and all the beautiful birds. We ate breakfast there every morning. The sunsets in the evenings from the deck were beautiful. I would recommend this home without hesitation. Rene was a great host and very easy to get in touch with when we had questions.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home next to the seawall in Galveston! The location was absolutely perfect, with stunning views and easy access to everything we wanted to do.The house itself had every amenity we could have asked for, everything was thoughtfully provided and made our stay so comfortable. One of the highlights was definitely the pool. Even though the weather was quite windy during our trip, the perfectly heated pool completely made the experience for our kids. They spent so much time in it and had an absolute blast!Overall, this home exceeded our expectations. Between the amazing location, the well-equipped space, and that incredible pool, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Great Getaway

This spot was great for us. House was exactly as described. Rene, the host, was gracious and accommodating. He worked with us to allow for an early check in, and let us extend our stay by one night. He also helped my boys find a perfect fishing spot for the week, which was a game changer for our vacation. The house was stocked with everything you might need and more. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were great. We took our pets, which I am always nervous about. Has a great yard and is secure. Doggos loved their stay too. The pool and hot tub were the highlight of the trip. Great neighborhood. We will be back!

PERFECT place!

We LOVED this house for our family of 5! The host is so kind and gracious! Such a blessing! The pool and hot tub and ping pong table were absolutely awesome! The kitchen had all we needed and more and the photos don't do the master bed and bathroom justice, just incredible! This was such a blessed trip!

Beware of this Host!!!

One of the first things the host tells us when we arrive is, there’s no way to lock the front door and he was not going to get it fixed while we were there. The said, not to worry. Then we are told, the lift (one of the main reasons we chose this house due to my father & mother in law being in their late 60’s & early 70’s with heart and back problems) wasn’t working. Nothing was said about either of these things prior to our check in date, even though the host was aware of both issues. On the third day of being there, we asked to use the lift that the owner has on his house (he built a walkway connecting the two homes) to make things easier for my in laws. When I tried to latch the gate open to walk across the walkway with my father in law, I was attacked by a hive of Yellowjackets. I was stung multiple times in the stomach and hand and also received an injury to my side while trying to run away. My father in law was stung multiple times as well. When my father in law told the host what occurred, he offered no apology and didn’t even have a pest control company come out. When we went down to the pool, the pool vacuum had been left in the pool, so we unscrewed it and set it just outside of the pool. Leaving it in was a hazard, one I would think the host was aware of. Especially with my four year old being in the water. There was no damage done to the vacuum. There are more issues but due to limited writing space I have to stop listing. This was only the beginning

Renee's property was great! My kids loved the pool and being able to see sunsets every night. Easy access to the strand and sea wall. Host is right next door if anything is needed. Will definitely be coming back!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in the perfect place. The charm of this house was beyond our expectations, clean and well organized. The view from the balcony was amazing. Another great year!

This is our happy place! We plan to come back every summer. This was our fourth year and it didn’t disappoint even in the crazy heat. Amazing place

We had an amazing week here. The house was very impressive and enough room for our family of 6 and our pets. Kids loved the pool very relaxing. Beautiful stay!

Our family had such a great experience staying at this lovely home. Rene, the home owner was so thoughtful and accommodating to anything we needed and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The view off the back porch is breathtaking. We enjoyed bird watching and catching the beautiful sunrise and sunset everyday. Our boys swam in the awesome pool and hot tub the whole week. So fun and relaxing! The home was well equipped with everything we could possibly need from various kitchen gadgets to pool/beach gear. Highly recommend staying here; you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome February

We have an absolutely delightful month staying at this property. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. Renee, the owner, was so helpful and friendly. He answered questions immediately, and we’ve made a new friendship with him and Carol. The pool is so nice and the hot tub was great even in the chilly weather. The birds we saw were so different than those we see in Wyoming. We highly recommend this for your next vacation, you will not be disappointed.

Exceeded our expectations

We stayed at this property for a little over a month while our home was being renovated in Galveston. Over that time, we came to know and love this home. It's exceptional, both inside and out. The house has a Hawaii vibe with great decor and ambience. The layout is comfortable and it's in terrific condition with pretty much all the amenities one could want. We loved the pool and hot tub which we used regularly. The property backs onto a wildlife preserve which provides both privacy and natural beauty. Seeing sunsets and birds from the deck was amazing. Rene, the host, was gracious, warm and helpful. He was available whenever we had a question or request, yet was also respectful of our privacy. We have stayed in many short-term rentals and this one is a class above. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will recommend it to all family and friends who visit Galveston.

A month of bliss!

From the first communication with the Host until the day we left, we enjoyed a wonderful experience at this VRBO home! The house, spectacular sunset views, the inviting swimming pool, the fenced-in property for keeping pets safe, the cleanliness of the house, the generous supply of kitchen items-appliances, dish/glassware, cooking utensils, pantry items,, etc., and quality linens and bedding, this was a great place to be! The location is central to beaches, golf courses and restaurants galore! The Host, Rene, is fabulous and advance-thinking! We will definitely be back for another visit!
