「House is super cute! From the back balcony, you can see the beach, our stay was so amazing. There is a book in this house about hurricane Ike and when it hit crystal beach, it was nice to be able to read a little history about the island. 」

「We had a fantastic summer getaway at The Runaway! The house was exactly as advertised and in a wonderful quiet neighborhood! We experienced a day of rain but didn’t mind it at all with the game room and all the amenities that kept us busy! We would definitely stay here again! 」

「The house is a little bit of history, from the original flooring, beautiful curated fixtures, photos on the wall that paint a picture of the home. It was like walking into home, they have everything you could need to cook or make meals which is not always typical. The yard was fun, our young family thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I just wish we had thought to baby proof we had to borrow a baby gate, definitely didn’t read that part of the listing. Very suitable for older children. 」

「We loved this adorable house! We only stayed one night before our cruise, but definitely wished we could have stayed longer! The description and photos were accurate, Tiffany was super responsive. Property was clean, beds so comfy, bathrooms perfect! This house was so well thought out, loved having the lights labeled, fans in the rooms, great coffee bar, and comfy blankets! Loved our stay! 「This place was so adorable. It was perfect for me my husband and our dog. Cold AC and ice cold refrigerator. The host made sure to stock the house with everything needed. Very comfy bed. Quick walk to the beach. We cant wait to go back. Would definitely rent this cottage again. 」

「Great home for a quick stay in the Surfside area! Not too far from the water or local eateries/ businesses. Host was able to accommodate a later checkout time as well. Overall very pleased :)」

「Loved the homelike atmosphere and artsy decor. Perfect for a small family get away or quick trip to Galveston. Needed a late check out due to a soccer tournament and the host got back to my text late at night. It was gratefully appreciated. It was even home to an adorable squirrel eating peaches from the neighbors tree! 」

「Our family scheduled this trip the same week as the Tropical storm that was coming through the Gulf. The property manager and home owner were very understanding of our concerns and did a great communicating with us 3 days before our visit. 24 hours before our visit they sent us a video of the property so we knew for sure everything was clear and in great shape. 「One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! The cottage and garage apartment and charming patio were absolutely perfect for us, our adult son, and our daughter and her fiancé. The nicely appointed kitchen made it easy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Quiet neighborhood was within easy walking or driving distance of everything we wanted to do in Galveston. The hosts have thought of everything. We can’t wait to come back.」
