Exceptional stay. The surroundings, accomodations, and feel of this historic place will definitely be a memory hard to forget.

The hotel amenities and decorations helped to coincide with the Field & Stream name brand. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor firepit seating areas were nice. The main downside is that the rooms are so dimly lit that if it's not daylight outside it's not possible to have the room be bright enough to do anything other than watch TV. The lighting was designed for style, not for function.

Room smelled like cigarettes and stale air. Towels had stains

Staff was fine. The room had some electrical outlets that did not work. All else ok

Clean new and the staff was awesome! There was a dog barking across from us. I called the front desk and told her. She said I will try and get in touch with the owner. About 15 min later the dog was quiet.
