"I liked how helpful and caring LaMay was. I have a hard time walking and use a motorized wheelchair and I went outside to smoke a cigarette and I was coming in and she came out and helped by holding the doors open so I could get in easy."

It’s our childhood hometown. We were shocked at the number of closed businesses and boarded up properties, and neglected infrastructure. Still excellent areas such as Krape Park.

Hotel was great but the town overall I did not feel the safest. I felt safe at the hotel though. I only know about the crime in Freeport because I live a few towns over.
