The unit was as nice as it looks in the pictures. It took me a a bit to find where it is located but all in all i would highly recommend it to anyone going to that area.

Fantastic house

What a perfect choice for a 2 night stay. a fll size house with three bedrooms, lounge and full kitchen. the beds were very comfortable, shower fantastic, kitchen well appointed and very clean. Great location, walk to a variety of restaurants. Highly recommended.

Well maintained. Strange bathroom. One with sink, tub and shower. Second with toilet. Could use more trash bags and coffee, otherwise great. The attendant at entrance not knowledgeable about home.

This place was beyond our expectations. Private hottubs outside was a bonus! We planned to go to the hotpool across from our place, but this hotubs satisfied us enough. It was so clean and spacious. Highly recommended.

Beautiful inside and out

The property was far nicer then expected. It was luxury. The scones everyday were a nice touch. Franz Josef is a breathtaking place.

Not what I expected

This house is very close to camper and and in dense shrubs so feels dark, cold and noisy at times. No heat except portable units. Check in was cumbersome. Communication was limited to one email when booked 6 months prior that contained the necessary instructions on where to drive to to get the key and check in; would have been helpful to send reminder 1 week prior. We booked for 2 nights but called at 8 am asking to check out early after 1 night. No refund for second night. The town of Franz Joseph had little to do and due to weather, our glazier flight was cancelled. We moved to Hokitika 1 hour away which was wonderful.

Home in the mountains.

Loved being able to cook our own meals after eating in restaurants for 5 days and the 2 jacuzzi tubs outside were amazing!!!!

Spacious, secluded paradise!

Comfortable 3 bedroom apartment with good sized kitchen, dining area and comfortable loving area. Really enjoyed the living area fireplace and electric blankets in bedrooms. Beautiful outdoor patio and outdoor tubs for a warm soak - sadly with all the rain we were unable to enjoy those areas. A bit of an odd placement of the toilet at the entry, but the bathroom (with tub, shower and sink) was spacious with good finishes. Loved having our own space with free parking- covered parking for one vehicle, but the area could fit 2-3 cars easily.

Great Franz Josef House

The house was great and appears to be recently renovated. It was clean and spacious and surpassed our expectations. The service was excellent and responsive. We had to check in late and they stayed to ensure we got to the house properly. Easy walk to many restaurants and a quick drive to Franz Josef glacier parking lot. Highly recommend.
