"This hotel can be rated lowly as lower standard of hostel. Rooms are dingy and terribly with totally comfortable bed and totally inadequate furniture and bag rack. Room was terribly low lighted and felt depressing. It felt like sleeping in an enclosed warehouse with fire extinguisher sprinklers. I think Expedia needs to do a better job at classifying the proper since this property was very rated which was not even close. No descent reception ambience and when we set in the reception we could literally see the dust dropping on us from the roof. Totally to have lived in such a property."

"The check-in took an hour with two receptionists. They had to check with housekeeper to know if room was ready even though it was after 5:30pm. The room was worn with woodwork that needed paint. The air conditioner outlets in the lobby dripped water and had mold around them in the ceiling. Customer service and maintenance were lacking. The location is excellent but the place needs work. "

My son got sick and the front desk acted rapidly and call the emergency service which was amazing and acted very professional proving IV fluids and IV medicine to my son in our room x 3hrs all service covered by the Hotel."

"Upon check-in I immediately noticed that the unit (2F) was not cleaned well and had maintenance issues. I saw stains, marks, and damage throughout the apartment, making it a very uncomfortable stay. As other reviewers have mentioned, the area is not as developed and the view from the bedroom was a very rundown set of buildings. The last straw for me was that the bedsheets were stained. I was given a WhatsApp contact number after I raised my concerns (immediately after check in) and nothing was addressed except that someone brought new sheets and towels that I had to change them myself. I would not recommend La Cuadra in Casco Viejo despite the positive reviews."
