「This is our go to stop-over on our way back from a second home in the French Alps. The hotel is a Heritage Building at the heart of the old walled town which sits high above the city of Laon. There is plentiful parking in close proximity and a variety of interesting restaurants. Laon Cathedral is amongst the finest in France and is just 5 minutes walk. Excellent and cost effective breakfast not to be missed. We will be returning quite soon!」

「1685年創業の18部屋という小さなホテルです。当然エレベーターもありません。もちろん、電気は点きますし、お湯も出ますが、昨今のホテルに当たり前の便利さはありません。しかし、この街に泊まろうという人で、そういうものを求める人は少ないでしょう。逆に、この中世の町にふさわしいものは皆そろっています。木の梁がむき出しの小さめな部屋、古めかしい衣装箪笥、内側からも鍵をかけないと締まらないドア、そして何よりも、人懐こくて親切なホテルの人たち。全ては古いながらも、清潔に保たれ、神経が行き届いています。併設されているレストランも、優しい味わいのおいしい食事を提供してくれます(日本人には、少々ボリュームが多いので注文には注意が必要ですが)。また訪れたくなるホテルでした。」

「Venus pour une nuit avec nos petits-enfants, pour être à proximité de Soissons. L'appréciation la plus pertinente, ce sont leurs exclamations lorsqu'ils sont entrés: super, génial et autres nickel...nous avons passé deux jours confortables et tranquilles, exactement ce que nous cherchions.」
