Staff very helpful. Hotel is well located. Walkable to town centre. Good bar and other restaurants nearby. However, the building is looking tired. We booked this hotel because it came up after using a “pool” filter. In the event, there was no pool. And the fitness centre was closed.

Overnight stop

The hotel was clean, comfortable, easy to find. Close to motorway and plenty of secure parking. All that is required for an overnight stop on the way through France.

Not sure where the photos on GMaps were taken but it doesn’t look like this hotel. We were initially given a room on the ground floor with no aircon. Summer of 2026 - 36 deg. We travel with a dog and a cat! Don’t ask! We queried the aircon and the receptionist move us to the first floor which are the pics I have shared. The aircon unit condensation pump was faulty and as it operates it buzzes like someone pressing a door bell; every 3 minutes, all night. It is referenced in another post on GMaps also, I should have listened. It is powered separately from the aircon unit so cannot be turned off. Beds are OK and everything functions but do not be taken in by the glossy photos! Laon is a great town. We watched the eclipse and had a nice meal in the square by the Notre Dame. Followed by an amazing light projection show onto the Cathedral. Brilliant! It is on every night at 10pm until the 23/8/26 If you have a dog there is room around the hotel for exercising and plenty of parking.

Worth the money.

Nice hotel. Reasonable price so room was pretty basic. Excellent shower though and the bed was extremely comfortable. Restaurant was very good with great service.

Good location for visiting Laon

Our first visit to France in almost 10 years and the stay in Laon was to break-up a longer journey. The check-in was quick and easy. The room was quite basic but the thought of having an air-con unit was great until we realised that it needed some maintenance, as it was dripping water. By now it was late, so we simply placed a small bin under the main drip, which a bit noisy but didn't spoil our sleep. The black-out blinds were brilliant and the shower was great, which is always important. Continental breakfast was nice, with a good selection of breads, croissants, jams, meats and cheeses. There was also coffees and fresh fruit juices. We didn't use the restaurant but it did look nice and there were a few people dining in there when we walked past it.

The room, bed, cleanliness overall was good However, the towels were pretty thin, with no hand towel The bathroom was very small but the shower was excellemt. The knob to hold your towel fell off the wall! Staff were great in the restaurant and meal was good. Breakfast was minimal, cooked bit was not very good. Did the job for an overnight stay but probably not stay again.

This was a very late booking following a Car breakdown and we were really just grateful I haven’t found somewhere. We booked this based on previous experiences with Kyriad at hotels but it was quite disappointing. The rooms were very basic and bland. Buffet Breakfast was very poorly stocked I’m unable to find any members of staff to help replenish things. Unlike other Kyriad hotels, this isn’t one we will be returning to.

Comfortable Laon stopover.

Location was convenient to local roads and motorway. The experience was enhanced by the attached restaurant offering reasonably priced evening meals. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and offered a satisfying start to our ongoing journey.
