"This property is exceptional. Great location and fantastic atmosphere and a great mix of modern amenities mixed with a traditional building appearance. The breakfast was superb and the room comfort was exceptional but beyond all that the thing that makes this place one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at is the staff. All incredibly helpful but beyond that personable and able to converse or have a brief joke while still carrying out their work incredibly efficiently. You’ll not be disappointed by a stay here and I would highly recommend it."

"The rooms are varied. The dog friendly rooms are not great, but at least you can bring your dog. The suite we had (when we didn’t bring the dog) was characterful and a good size but the bathrooms need an update. I’m not sure if this is the case across the hotel. The lady in reception is lovely, but if she isn’t there it can be hard to get help to check in. A lot of the staff are pretty grumpy and not very helpful. "

"We had a lovely family get together for half term.Seeing the Red kite chick in the attached field was my personall highlight.The swimming pool was a godsend due to the weather not being the best.Would recommend a long handle brush in the cottage just so we could have given the floor a sweep over x"
