Beautiful, spelled wonderful and interesting property (old bell tower). ONLY a couple thongs to know, not easy to get cab/uber and be prepared to walk a lot of stairs and uphill. We didn't mind but some may.

We really loved our apartment and the communication with hosts was excellent. Grrat instructions for everything too! It is up a steep hill which was fine for us (even in 38 degrees!!) Our only negative was noise from other apartments lots of scraping of chairs and noise very early in the morning. Would however recommend and come back again.

This a wonderful place to stay. The staff was absolutely outstanding - friendly and so very helpful. The location was perfect within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. We had two rooms both of which had fabulous views.

We rented two rooms at the QK Costa58 hotel. Both were lovely and very spacious. The location relative to the major sites of Florence is hard to beat. It is just a 2 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio, 5 to the great museums, and 10 to Il Duomo. I recommend it highly.

An excellent option for a comfortable, clean and relaxing stay whilst staying in Florence. The room was well designed with en suite, mini living room and kitchen. The property was very clean. All the small token gestures had all been thought about in terms of plentiful supply of towels, utensils in the kitchen, slippers, bathroom accessories etc. A great location very close to all the bars and restaurants - you’ll have a good workout each day walking up the steep cobbled lane m, but it’s only a couple of minutes walk. Definitely recommend the property. 5 stars.

My only issue with this place is lack of any communication and access . We booked this property early on and received terrible instructions , the link to enter passports didn’t work , the phone number was NOT CORRECT , the messages to property were not answered ! We spent 3 days on Expedia trying to get a hold of the property as they needed our passports for check in ! We almost cancelled as we couldn’t reach anyone . Then finally we got the right number but the phone connection was bad , then we had to connect on what’s up Finally when we arrived , one of the beds had no linens , which is not an issue as this was quickly resolved However there was the issue of getting to this property - WARNING - property on a huge narrow hill , our taxi van could not get there as construction blocked the way . We had to haul 4 suitcases up cobblestones and then down again , that was a nightmare as one of the wheels on our luggage was not up to task . Elderly people should not attempt this hill with luggage unless they want to end up in emergency room Also Property has a useless elevator that only goes one flight and narrow steep stairs … The view was amazing but lack of communication really was an issue . Also on last day the city turned off our water while one of us was mid shower If you are fit , and don’t care about stairs and other inconveniences then you will love this place

Insane stairs and then a steep hill , taxi will not get you there as there’s construction everywhere

Very good communication and incredible attention to detail and amenities for guests except for on incredibly important detail. The bed was absolutely awful. You could feel the springs poking through the bed. My husband slept on top of the comforter just to have some additional padding. I travel expensively in Europe for work and pleasure and this was the worst bed I have experienced.

Please read the full review. The property is very nice, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are very small. It’s not for 4 people unless you are traveling with kids younger than 10 yo. Also the bathroom is very very small. Very hard to take shower. This place is for people who are younger than 50, bcoz the terrain is uphill, taxis don’t go to this area so you have to walk about 200 meters with your luggage(s). If you have joint problems, or heart condition then do not book this property bcoz it does require lot of cardio for sure.

I would have rated much higher if this hotel admitted that their listing was incorrect rather than adjusting the listing after i had booked and then blaming Expedia - All they had to do was admit that the listing said balcony and that the room didn’t actually have one, an apology would have been enough. I raised this issue with the hotel and sent them a screen shot – they then adjusted the listing and told me I was wrong (even though I sent them a copy of the listing – they then blamed Expedia for adjusting their listings) WHY LIE IF IT’S A GENUINE MISTAKE?

Great Place on a Hill

A fabulous place to stay in Florence. The attention to detail and the size of the space are big pluses. It is more like an apartment including a small fully equipped kitchenette. The property manager has thought of everything, including a very detailed booklet about how to access the building and room as well as detailed instructions for all appliances. It is a climb uphill to get to it but there are various ways of achieving the uphill climb from walking up the gradually increasing incline to climbing many steps and/or a combination of both. It is in the Oltrarno up one of the streets just to the left of the Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast is included and served in a small sitting room. They are still practicing some CoVid regulations so you need to book a time for breakfast everyday as you will be the only people in the room at that time. Even though there is a front desk and lobby, concierge service is all virtual or by intercom, which links to a person somewhere offsite. Some of these things may change once CoVid protocols begin to lighten up. Great if you like being self-sufficient. There is a housekeeper and cleaning person around mostly in the mornings. Overall a spectacular place to stay. After a day you will feel like a local. Downside:I had booked a room with a balcony and view of the city and there was some mix up and we got a view of the street & no balcony. Still spectacular. Visit the pottery shop next door and tell Emma that Andrew & Ken from NYC sent you there.

The property itself was well presented and clean and service from the virtual reception was friendly and helpful. It is very close the main sights but I have reduced mobility and the steep hill was a huge challenge. Unfortunately it was advertised as having a roof terrace in the overall property details when in fact there is only one terrace and that is part of the penthouse flat. It also said that there was a concierge and limo and town car service which wasn't the case and would have been useful when confronted with a transport strike. However, if you are fit and clear about what comes with your room I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

A great location as a home base for Florence. All of the major attractions were within a 25 minute walk, with most less than 15 minutes away. There is a great little grocery store very close by as well as many restaurants, shopping and gelato shops. I stayed in the Studiolo (for solo travelers) and was very impressed with the cleanliness. It had everything I needed and it felt like a safe neighborhood. Communication and service was excellent. The studio apartment is on the ground floor, just off the lobby, so no view of Florence, and there is the noise of people arriving and leaving the building. On arrival, I took the T2 Tram from the airport and walked from the stop at Santa Maria Novella in the Center of Florence in about 22 minutes. Overall, I rated this stay a 10/10 and would happily book here again.

This property and our view of the city was amazing! It is a hike to walk up four flights of steps (after a steep but small road) but definitely worth it to stay in the il Camino room (or the Miraggio nexts door). Our room was a two story loft with stunning views of Florence. Plus it had an extra half bath, which is great for couples. Our room did not have a balcony but the room next door does. It’s centrally located right off the main path on the Oltrarno and the Ponte Vecchio. Definitely recommend this place for the location, Air Conditioning and amenities.
