2. Mill Barn by inspirestays.com - a cottage that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom

North Chailey

"My husband and I enjoyed a week in Mill Barn in early June. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to play along so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful garden as much as I had hoped, but that was no loss - the cottage is adorable inside too and it's perfect for cozy cocooning when it's rainy. We enjoyed the smart TV, bath and wonderful shower, as well as the well equipped kitchen. There are plenty of fun day trips in the area and Penny was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. 6. Majestic Hotel Eastbourne by Belvilla - Standard Double Room

"We book the Majestic for one night as they had over 8+ on Expedia. Well, we arrived at reception. All went well until we were told the lift is out of action and being repaired. Which we later found out is the same story they have been telling guests for months. The very small room was embarrassing. A hole in the wall, electric socket not working, disgusting unwashed curtains, peeling paint everywhere, cracked sink, mould all over the shower head, broken wardrobe. The only plus was the bed...

"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest."

Bloc Hotel London Gatwick Airport

10/10 Excellent

"Great location within terminal building. 10% discount in cafe Nero across from reception when you show your room card."

YotelAIR London Gatwick

10/10 Excellent

"Absolute find. Free tea and coffee. Comfy beds. Great fun experience for an 11 year old on the eve of an early start holiday and was cheaper than a cab and avoided quite such an early start. I love airports anyway - they give me a buzz - and this is like slipping down a rabbit hole out of it into a secret bunker. Well worth it."

Sandman Signature London Gatwick Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"My girlfriend and I stayed here for the weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, nice and roomy as well, the shower gel was empty on arrival though, but that's okay. The pool was nice and empty for most of the time, the steam room however was not that great, it was okay at best, but the warm pool made up for it. Overall enjoyed and the front desk staff was nice and helpful."
