Perched high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our 5-bedroom haven is a world unto itself. From the moment you arrive, you'll be captivated by the long-range mountain vistas visible from our two expansive decks. Whether you're savoring your morning coffee or stargazing at night, the views never disappoint.

Inside, our spacious open floor plan is ideal for gatherings. Four floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room bring the outside in, creating a stunning backdrop for your stay.

• High-speed WiFi throughout (December 2024 update: the 5G towers in the area were damaged by the hurricane, so internet speeds are limited. The streaming speeds on the TVs may be less than desirable. We are installing Starlink in January.)

THE AREA:

Bailey Peak Retreat is a 25-minute drive from downtown Asheville and its many bars, restaurants, arts, shopping, and live events. The surrounding area offers tons of outdoor activities and events to attend. Here are a few of our own picks:

TAKE CAUTION - due to recent Helene-related devastation, many areas are experiencing closures and are not safe to traverse. Look for information ahead of time and remember that up in the mountains, cell service may be spotty. Stay safe!

A portion of the walkway on the backside of the house was damaged by Hurricane Helene. Repairs are pending. The deck itself is completely safe (cleared by both a structural engineer and a geotechnical engineer), but please exercise caution when walking behind the house.

The area is also sometimes visited by our wildlife neighbors, including bears, so please stay safe and keep an eye on the youngest travelers and furry family members!

When you stay at Bailey Peak Retreat, you're covered for any accidents that might happen up to $3,000. The $42 charge listed as a "administrative fee" on your quote covers your purchase of $3,000 of "all risk" damage protection coverage on your rental property. This protection is purchased in lieu of a security deposit. Coverage details are spelled out in the rental agreement.
