If not for the unpredictability of the trains' schedules, we would have stayed the full two days so we could enjoy La Spezia to the fullest. "Our view was absolutely stunning, and you won't find a better location! It is steps from the water, steps from a variety of restaurants and shopping, very close to the ferry and train station. We easily parked our car just before Varnazza (they don't allow you to drive in), there is one parking lot that is reasonable and they shuttle you in. Communication with manager is a little challenging. He doesn't respond to email, but will pick up phone and be very pleasant. The directions he gave us to find the place was MUCH more confusing than it needed to be. Walk towards the water after arriving and then the steps are to the left just before the restaurant Il Gambero Rosso, take a right after the stairs. If you see a bar on your left after the stairs you've gone too far. Enter through green door. The room itself is dated, and nothing special, but the location and view, and space in the room all made it worth it to us!"

"I cannot say enough good things about the property! Our room was perfect and had everything we could need. The staff was just incredible. They were able to get us a reservation at a great restaurant within walking distance. They were knowledgeable about the ferry times to Cinque Terre, secured us a taxi for an early morning departure on our last day, and even provided a boxed breakfast for us since we had to leave before it was being served. The rooftop bar with its beautiful view of the harbor was the icing on the cake. "
