「Excellent location, Quiet. Kind staff, beautiful view, beautiful room and clean, very nice breakfast. Superb pool area and terrasse overlooking the Douro Valley. I highly recommend. Only downside is the bathroom and toilet is in the bedroom open area. However, there are other bathrooms for more privacy in a well decorated cabin outside the room. 」

「Torel Quinta da Vacaria was the most beautiful and best stay in Douro Valley. The hotel was an architectural marvel, with its state of the art spa to the most spectacular views of the river. "Gets everything right. Excellent The hotel was completely renovated in the spring of 2025 and feels brand new. We stayed two nights in late Sept. It has thought of every detail. This is how hotels should be designed. Lighting in the room that works easily; showers that are also easy to figure out (when are other hotels going to start doing this?); plenty of space in the bathroom to place things. Warm, natural colors and fine touches and nice details. The welcome drink was lovely. The staff are wonderful. The view from the terrace is amazing. The gym, pool and sauna were excellent.I can’t say enough about this place. It’s perfect. We didn’t want to leave Something to hang towels on in the bathroom would be nice. "
