Mother Earth offers Mountain View’s, star gazing thru the dome, soaking in the bathtub or stargazing from the hot tub, and near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fire pits with wood, a wonderful place for small groups with two other yurts, all at different elevations for privacy. We have Starlink internet, and an enclosed deck that is convenient for a small child or pets, and a sleeper sofa and a twin blow up mattress for the occasional xtra guests. Bluetooth music is an added bonus! No extra charge for the fresh mountain air, cool crisp mornings, and skies made for stargazing. I provide several coffee options with locally ground coffee. several nearby places for breakfast and lunch and many great hikes a short drive from the yurt. Also nearby horseback riding, zip lining, the Blue Ridge Music Center, and canoe/kayak rentals. Also a generator is ready to handle the power during ice or snow storms.

Not all Yurts are created equal!!! We’ve been to several different Glamping locations and this one stands out as our absolute favorite spot. Jodee was an absolutely amazing host and made sure we had everything necessary for our visit. I have a lowered Tesla and I made it with no issues at all and I was able to make it both ways in to the yurts. I was able to charge my car while I was there with a 50ft extension cord as well since there is an electrical socket close enough to the designated parking spot. The property is absolutely amazing and we were lucky enough to experience a rain storm ad well as nice weather while we were there. I actually don’t know which one we enjoyed more. The sound of the rain hitting the yurt canvas while the fire place was keeping us warm was magical. The XL bathtub, private hot tub, full wraparound deck, fully loaded kitchen, and breathing sunrises over the rolling hills, and everything else this place has to offer is why we will be returning here as soon as we possibly can. The drive from the DC area is also very pretty and not very long. Well worth the drive and you can’t beat the price for what you actually pay for 100%!!! Thank you Jodee!!!

Jodee was super communicative, the views and atmosphere were superb, and we enjoyed every minute. Convenient parking, huge soaker tub, well maintained hot tub, comfortable bed and couch, plenty of chopped wood to build a fire, the list goes on and on! Loved our stay!

We had an amazing stay. The yurt was perfectly decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly want and more. So many details, nothing was overlooked. The enclosed porch, covered swing, firepit and hot tub were ALL icing on the cake. I cannot wait to go back.

Mother Earth was exactly as described and pictured. It was very comfortable. Two things I didn't consider before arriving was the glass dome in the ceiling and no isolation from sound. I would stay at Mother Earth again but I would take an eye mask (the sun was bright in the morning) and earplugs. (There was a barking dog down the hill that I heard each morning.) Those are very small complaints and they wouldn't stop me from staying at Mother Earth. Jodee was easy to reach and communication was smooth. My husband, dog and I had a lovely stay.

Mother Earth retreat

The yurt is beautifully decorated and absolutely everything but charcoal for the grill was provided. The soaking tub & hot tub were awesome. Outside, the fireplace and swing were fun. Easily assessable location, but it’s on a gravel road. Must be able to climb the pictured latter to the bedroom. There is no twin bed in the living room. Great for a couple and taking the dog worked great.

Mountain Oasis

Beautiful experience all around! Easy parking and entry to the yurt. Everything was just as described, all we could have wanted and more. Gorgeous view of the mountain from the hot tub. Able to watch the sky as we lay in bed at night. A wonderful place to just relax and soak in your surroundings with your favorite person.

This Yurt looks EXACTLY as the pictures and then some. The hot tub was amazing along with the bath tub and the overall yurt itself was so cozy and unique. We will for sure be back and next time will bring our fur babies and children. If your looking for a remote place off the grid to relax and enjoy nature, this is it. Jodee the host is so phenomenal at responding quickly with any questions you may have.
