Hotel is a nice historical place with a lot of the features maintained. Very simple place to stay. There is a town square across the street with some homeless hanging out but they don’t bother you. Nice shops within walking distance.

A 1915 era hotel that maintains that atmosphere. Very nostalgic downtown hotel with original fixtures and accoutrements that will take you back to the roaring 1920s. We liked it.

I love older hotels and I wish I could give them a good rating but as a solo female traveler, I did not feel safe. I’m sorry Arcata is struggling to deal with the homeless and drug problem downtown. Also, tiny room, no amenities. Though no refund, I chose to not stay. Expensive but good decision.

Enjoyable stay

An aging hotel that owners have done their best to update. No AC, but do you really need it in Arcata? It would be nice if the windows had screens. We would stay again but only for one night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
