The communication from the host was very detailed and they accommodated our early check in request. "We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the apartment as well as the location. We had our two daughters with us (19 and 25), the bedrooms were a little tight, but we understood that would be the case when we booked. The check-in process was a bit tedious (first time I've had to send pictures of the water and electric meter before and after a stay). The architecture and decor of the apartment was well thought out and probably the highlight for us. The only negative part of our stay was the bugs...

"Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und braucht dringend ein Upgrade. Vor allem die Betten und Matratzen sowie Bettwäsche. Das Schlafsofa ist aus unserer Sicht nicht mehr für mehr als eine Übernachtung zumutbar. Die Bäder waren okay, aber mindestens 35/40 Jahre nicht daran gemacht. Die Möbel an sich erwecken den Eindruck, dass alles was zu Hause nicht mehr benötigt wird, wird hier rübergebracht. Der Plastiktisch und die Stühle dazu auf der oberen Ebene vor dem Haus müssen dringend entsorgt...

"It's certainly very unique in its Gothic style and very spacious, close to everything. but we found dust in corners and on some selves, the storage room was full of cleaning stuff and smelled like mold....also even it is only 4 miniutes walk from the ferry, with its location at the top of the hill and to carry big suitcases along the pebble stone road all the way up to check in is no fun at all."

"We loved our stay! The house suited our needs for our 2 night stay in Lake Como and we loved the proximity to a lovely hike over the peninsula and away from the "touristy" spots of Lake Como. A couple notes... the pool view is not the view from the house and there is actually a house in most of the view of the house with only a side view of the lake out of the main window so that was a disappointment and honestly a bit deceiving based on the pictures. There were no toiletries (soap/shampoo)...

"The view is amazing. The apartment was spacious and had parking right out front. If you have time, take advantage of the main hotel lakeside area and indoor pool/spas. Check in is at the main hotel. Use that address for GPS. It would be nice if they provided and couple of bottles of water and coffee to make in the room. "

"We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Andrea’s apartment. It was even nicer in person than in the photos. The view of the lake was amazing from all the windows, it's amazing to have a shower with a view. We had some rainy days while we were there, but we didn’t mind too much because you could just sit and watch the lake from the huge windows in the living room, and also from the balcony that has a small roof so you can step out there even in rainy weather. The apartment has a wood pellet...
