Underbar Hotel vid Comosjön

Un séjour superbe sur le lac de Côme

Un hôtel très bien situé à l'écart des artères passagères d’où un calme propice à la détente pour apprécier ce merveilleux lac de Côme. L’hôtel est à 5 minutes en voiture de l'embarcadère.

Nice place and very friendly staff

Hotel staff are very friendly. We had to depart at 6ish for our flight and the staff packed some sandwiches, water and fruits for us the night before! The lake view is stunning and the walk up and down to town centre is chill and nice as well.

Nice hotel.

Very good breakfest. Good diner. We had a room in the annex building.Very good. 2km to walk to the center of Menaggio.After diner in Menaggio uphill. Parking is difficult in Menaggio.

Bel hôtel.

Accueil chaleureux. Le personnel est très disponible et veille au confort de ses clients. Chambre très spacieuse. Très belle piscine. Seul bémol, le petit déjeuner simpliste. Dommage qu'il faille payer, quelques euros certes, pour avoir des œufs au petit déjeuner.

The perfect romantic getaway

A beautiful and romantic location! A tranquil escape from downtown Menaggio, yet not far to get to by foot or car. Comfortable rooms and excellent service 24/7. We will most definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!

Cozy family hotel, great value for money!

Great family hotel in the hillside above Menaggio, with a nice view of Lake Como. The owner was a very nice gentleman, the garden and pool area was cozy, and the restaurant was perfect for both breakfast and dinner (fantastic parmesan rice!!!). Highly recommended!

Accueil cordiale - site enchanteur

Hôtel très bien situé sur les hauteurs de Menaggio. Chambre avec terrasse avec vue sur le parc et en contrebas sur le lac. Accueil très cordiale de toute l'équipe. Possibilité de restauration sur place (matin, midi et soir) avec un menu à 28€. C'est le chef (M.Colombo) lui-même qui vient vous servir. Il parle couramment 4 langues (français, allemand, anglais et italien) et a un mot gentil pour chaque convive ! Je recommande vivement !

Como Getaway

In the States it would called a boutique hotel. Beautiful grounds, away from the crowds in town this gem of a place has a resort feel. Warm and friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights here. A steep walk down to the lake, maybe 10-15 minutes.

Lovely hotel in a quite location.

Our initial view when arriving at the hotel was a very friendly and efficient welcome and the food was superb. At the end of the holiday this was still our view. my only reservation would be if guests have a small appetite, the food is great and portions are substantial. A great example of a well run family hotel and restaurant.

Great family run hotel

We stayed for four nights, our first visit to Como, and overal it was a fantastic time, my ratings of the hotel are Excellent: staff at all times; car parking; views; cleanliness Very good: breakfast ( have to pay extra for eggs); pool ( not heated); grounds Good: room (walls in the separate block are thin so sound from next door annoying); Lastly 'location' is both excellent and poor! There are beautiful views everywhere, however, it is quite a walk down to the lakefront and harder on the way up, about 20-25mins.

Wunderschöne Lage oberhalb des Sees

Eine Woche Anfang September, tolles Wetter, reizvolle Orte am See, schöne Gärten und Villen.Abwechslungsreiche Bootsfahrten. Der Abstieg vom Hotel an das Seeufer ist ohne Probleme, der Aufstieg (etwa 20Minuten) für ältere etwas beschwerlich. Die gute Aussicht, die ruhige Lage und das gute Restaurant lohnen diese Beschwernisse.

Wonderful, wonderful stay!

A great experience, probably our best stay in Europe thanks to our great host (am ashamed I don't remember his name). The hotel is set upon a hill with great views overlooking the town and lake. Nice salt water pool was a real treat as was pool-side bar service. We were treated to a special evening meal (delicious) with entertainment one night and the host and his wife went out of their way to make sure everyone was contented. Superb. Perhaps the rooms are a bit dated, however super clean.

Best stay I've had in Italy

Probably one of the best hotel stays I've had anywhere for some time. Staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful, room was good size with nice outlook, food was excellent and owner Mario was not only very proud of his establishment but was one of the nicest people I've met and was at pains to engage with all guests irrespective of nationality to make them feel they are people rather than "merely" guests. Whilst most guests had their own transport and the hotel benefits those that have it, my wife and I found no difficulty in the 20 min walk up and down to Mennagio (I'm a moderately fit 65 year old) and enjoyed the exercise, so do not dismiss this hotel simply because it's a little way out of Menaggio, the views from the hotel and the warm welcome make it worthwhile. Have no hesitation in recommending it and would happily stay there again. Excellent

tolles ruhiges Hotel mit sehr gutem Service und einem Klasse Restaurant, empfehlenswert, in so einem Haus wird man zum Wiederholungstäter. Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern ist diese Anlage wenig geeignet.

Excellent hotel

A really lovely relaxing stay at Hotel Royal, which has a great feel to it created with loving care by the Columbo family and their super staff. Nothing was too much trouble and Mario the owner even drove us to the ferry two days during our stay as we did not have transport to get around. The highlight of our stay were the wonderful evening meals created by Emilio, Mario's son, who is a marvellous chef producing delicious home made pasta dishes with delicious sauces. Staff were first rate in serving us at dinner.
