"The new solar panels and solar water heating did not get enough time in the sun to provide hot water and power/heating for winter. The house was very cold, our breath steamed in the mornings. In the evening the inside temperature was frequently only 12C with the heater on. It was also damp, with water running down the inside of the windows every morning and the interior of cupboards smelled musty. "We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a wonderful place to relax and forget the hassle and bustle of the city. We couldn't believe how quite it is. The cave is very cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. We felt very much at home. Grit, our host was very helpful and easy going. It's a great base for trips and hikes, but you definitely need a car. The steep road down to the property is a bit of an adventure, but you get used to it."
