"What an amazing view! The elevator was fantastic to allow my mother to enter and exit the property safely. Both decks were great to view from. Very well stocked kitchen and great views from the living room. Loved the property and how close it was to the water. The location and rooms were exactly what I needed! We will be back hopefully! A few things that could improve. Personal preference, but grab handles in the showers would be great and open the property to more elderly people but that’s just a preference. The property needs a good cleaning. Dust from the light fixtures, dust under the beds (can see it when sun shining in). The entrance code on the VRBO app and the entrance code in the pdf sent are different. Thankfully my wife noticed it was different in the pdf after my 7th or 8th attemptto enter using the code in the app and that’s listed in the kitchen. The two loungers on the top deck are broken. Almost fell backwards once, but that’s probably just a lot of wear from being so close to the ocean and wind. Great location and such a wonderful little town! Will be back to Edisto and I would recommend this location to anyone!"
"Property is located in an incredibly beautiful, diverse ecosystem. Within a 1/8 mile of the house we saw deer, alligators, sea turtles, blue heron, osprey and a dozen other different bird species; not to mention the fish and dolphin in the ocean. Thousands of shells to see and peruse....miles of beach nearly to ourselves. The Edisto area is intentionally underdeveloped - no fast food, no high rises, no Walmart or Publix. Plenty of good places to eat, a Food Lion and the few little shops suited us just fine. The one local golf course was in great shape, plenty challenging and very reasonably priced. We are in our mid-60's; our children are in their mid to late 30's; our grandchildren range in age from 7 to 10. It worked for everybody!Dogs can go to the beach (on leash) and be let off the leash once on the beach. It worked out well for us but our dog is extremely well behaved and we didn't mind washing her down each time."
"This is our second visit to Island Manor, they have made some great changes since our first time 3 years ago. Dean & Beth are available to their renters for any questions or concerns. Definitely want to come back again!! Just a little warning, the king bedroom on the main floor is awesome, bed very comfy but my sister and I are on the older and shorter side and had many giggles trying to get into bed, finally got a small step stool at ace hardware, worked perfectly "
"We have been renting pet friendly beach properties for years and finally found a place we want to rent again. This house had everything you could imagine and more. The views of the ocean and the marsh were incredible. Access to the beach was only a short walk and there were so few people it felt like you had the beach to yourself. The entire house was very clean and the hosts were very gracious and accommodating. We definitely plan to rent this home again."
Partial OCEAN VIEW! Fenced yard bring doggo. WaterFront DOCK Fishing
10/10 Excellent
"The home was beautiful with a very well equipped kitchen. A short walk to the beach and the lagoon behind the house was a real treat. Not sure, but there was either a white heron, or a white crane that fished there every day. Such a delightful home. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!!!"
