I loved this wonderful quirky hotel. It has so much character and charm! I felt completely at home in my cosy room, which was much larger than I expected. The location and staff are great. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel was great! Rooms were large and comfortable. Bathroom was gorgeous. Staff were wonderful and very helpful (got us a cab). Restaurant next door had fantastic food. Location was great - lots of restaurants and shops In the city center of Old Town, just a few blocks from the Castle and other attractions. Town square has a Saturday market which was a delighter. When making a reservations, be sure to ask for a room that is accessible by elevator!!!

I stay here every time I'm in Edinburgh. It's a quirky fun hotel, the rooms are tiny, and getting to the rooms is sometimes like being in a maze. It's a very cool little place right in the heart of old town, walkable to everything.

The Grassmarket is the BEST place to get a hotel if you're looking to get into the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. It's right next to the iconic Victoria Street, and there's so many options for eating, drinking, and exploring right when you step outside! The staff is so nice and welcoming, and the bar that's attached is so cool as well!

Outstanding stay at The Grassmarket Hotel. Large group of 2 families with 14 people total so had four quad rooms. Very convenient location, spacious rooms, helpful staff! Is near bars but we didn’t find noise to be a problem as some others have. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay, friendly and welcoming staff. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet despite being in the centre of a lot of the local attractions. Close to good food, sights and shopping. Perfect, would definitely stay again!

Perfect location. Clean rooms and nice bedding. Room was very small but met my needs. However, the maze of the hallways and up and down stairs (no elevator) was insane. Had I known, I would have booked a room on the first floor. I was very thankful the staff helped with luggage and navigating the maze to my room. The rates were very expensive for what it was. But I’m realizing hotel rates in Edinburgh are high.
