"So much better than Amsterdam. A beautiful fishing village just a bus ride away from Amsterdam. We loved it. The location on the canal was incredible. The house inside was top notch. We had everything we needed and communication with Rein and Ben was excellent. If we ever return to the Netherlands we will definitely stay here again."

"The property was superb. Spacious and clean and very well equipped. Plenty of little extras like cleaning fluids, cooking equipment and washing/dishwasher tabs. There was a double bedroom and bunk beds in a separate room. There was more than enough storage and clothes hangers. The location was also perfect. There were 2 bikes available but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use them. Would love to go back."

"For some reason my room card (room 413) wouldn't work on the 3rd evening, which was a problem as it was after 10.30 in the evening, and i was a single 69 year old traveller. I returned to reception and the card was reset, i returned again to the 4th floor to find it still wasn't working. A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time."

"Great location right beside the metro and a shopping strip mall. We stayed in family room 411 and the internet rarely worked. They tried resetting the modem, but that didn’t help. . They offered to move us the 2nd day, but when we checked there were no family rooms available that day to switch to. Other than the internet access the hotel was nice. "

"My stay was fantastic! The location was amazing, and the staff was friendly. I opted out of the breakfast, which was a mistake. I ended up adding it on later. I thought that I would be able to grab something at a local café, but nothing opened until around 10am. This could’ve been because of the time of year I went. "Easyhotel Zaandam is exactly what it says it is: a budget hotel that only features the basics but you also don't pay for anything you don't need. The room is just a bed, bathroom, mirror, a chair and very minimal horizontal space to sort things (i.e. no desk). Bed was comfy, linens and room overall were very clean, walls are paper thin, however, so you WILL hear your neighbors, what they're saying, what they watch on T.V. and their salacious night time activities. "Second stay here and the staff are excellent. The bar and restaurant are also very good. We stayed on a very windy weekend and it felt like a cosy sanctuary. It is in very close proximity to Amsterdam with enough interest locally to make it a unique spot. great service and my ageing parents were made to feel very welcome. "
