「Rang in advance to tell Reception we would be arriving after 10.30pm, she said it was no trouble. When we got there the young lady was extremely helpful and very pleasant. She told us where there was plenty of tea coffee and milk if we needed it - which we did after a long journey. The hotel itself was a little dated but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and we had a good quiet nights sleep. We would definitely use it again. 」
「They told us up front there was no A/C, but we figured, 70 and raining would be fine. Well was 79 and sunny, and with only one tiny window that only opened 2 inches, the place was like sweatbox.
The upside, is that the staff were wonderful!
The restaurant next door has a great pub, and excellent fish and chips!」
「Due to my mistake when booking, we had not realized that all rooms weren't en-suite. This is aajor factor for us as my husband is disabled. The receptionist on duty 6/8/25 around 14:30, was so helpful and managed to get us sorted.
The rooms were lovely and clean as were towels and bedding.」
「The room albeit quite small was very comfy and nicely done out. I found it really hard to sleep though as the green emergency light made the room very light when I am used to sleeping in total darkness」
「The sample photos must be a few years old, because the building façade and our room were already getting on in years. In our bathroom there were many black mold stains or something like mold on the joints. Something like that really shouldn't be there. But the food and staff were very friendly and nice. I think it's just a practical hotel to start the West Highland Way from, as we did after a very short stay. But not a feel-good vacation spot.
