"The Uig Hotel is a beautiful and well-maintained hotel. My room was very very small but comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Lots of steps - up and down - which was difficult with a large suitcase. The lamp over my desk did not work so the hotel provided a lamp. Having a dining room was helpful for both dinner and breakfast, since the hotel is a little remote. A very pleasant stay!"

"The Backrest is a great base for anyone wanting to spend some time on Skye. We spent most of our time just chilling there and enjoying the local area. Mette is an excellent host. The property is first rate. I’d recommend the Backrest to anyone wanting high quality accommodation on the Isle of Skye."

Atholl House Skye

"Atholl House was great for ourcrecent stay on the Isle of Skye. Initially I was disappointed we could not find a room in Portree but after visiting Atholl House I actually preferred it. There are several hood restaurants nearby, a beautiful view. Close to certain things we wantedvto explore. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the person serving was very friendly and helpful. As with many of the places we stayed there was rarely anyone at the front desk, so no-one to ask questions of. That was really the only downside"
