"We had a nice view of the ocean, hotel has private access to beach, the staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was nice and quiet (we stayed in January), breakfast was better than most, the shower was great (water pressure and heat), kitchen was fully functional if we had wanted to make our own meals."

"We had a perfect week! Enjoyed staying right on the beach. Very clean home. Great ocean views. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Three story home from garage to living room so a lot of stairs. Pet friendly. Very good location. Walk to restaurants, ice cream and Food Lion."

"Well furnished inside, great fenced back area for dog/shade, easy to keep cool inside on hot days, nice that chairs/umbrella/beach items were supplied along with a pull cart. Loved the coffee & gift shop right across the street. Only drawback was it was so close to the by-pass road in terms of noise, but it was great for convenience."

"The cottage was great and the location even better. All you need for a memorable and affordable vacay in the OBX. I've been coming to the outer banks for 40 years and had never eaten at Tortugas. Since it was located directly across the street, we took advantage of it's proximity. Delicious! "
