Double Six Beach, or 66 Beach, is a stretch of sand along the village of Seminyak. This is a quieter spot than Kuta Beach, but still offers many activities. A visit to Double Six offers your choice of a relaxing experience or invigorating and energetic exercise.
If you prefer to have the beach to yourself, visit in the early morning. For a more lively atmosphere, head here just before sunset when the bars and restaurants start to fill up. Free activities include sunbathing on your beach towel, swimming, snorkeling or playing soccer and beach volleyball.
When it is time to get active, rent a board and ride the waves for a while. Double Six Beach has a surf school and the waves and sandy bottom are great for beginning surfers, although professionals love these conditions too. Another option is to rent a horse and enjoy a saddleback trip along the beach. Afterward, indulge with a Balinese massage you can hire a skilled masseur right on the beach. If you just feel like lounging, visit a beach shack and sit in the shade. Try Indonesia’s star beverage, Bintang beer, or a fresh fruit cocktail and enjoy the views of the Bali Sea.
At the end of the afternoon, watch the famous Balinese sunset and have a drink in one of the bars or clubs facing the beach. If you’d rather experience the more traditional Bali, head to the sanctuary of Petitenget Temple in the north and see the sun set over the 15th-century Hindu shrines.
Seminyak village is renowned for its spa resorts, upscale malls, art galleries and fine dining, so there is a lot to do away from the beach too.
Double Six Beach starts where the road of Jalan Double Six meets the beach. It is a 30-minute drive from Denpasar Airport and 15 minutes from Kuta in light traffic. It is about half an hour on foot from Kuta Beach to the south. The best time to visit the beaches in this part of Bali is during the cooler dry season, between May and October.

Reviews of Double Six Beach
3/5 - Okay
So many umbrellas at a cost to hire of $20 per day. We thought that to be a little expensive given we weren't staying for the whole day.
4/5 - Good
All Beaches in the Kuta, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu areas have people constantly asking you to purchase cheap items and offering massages and what not. Beaches are beautiful but packed with many people!
4/5 - Good
The Balé has its own beach club space for guests so I would recommend only going there. There’s a restaurant also adjacent to the beach club but I decided to order from the hotel which delivered a box lunch for me with one of the best club sandwiches I’ve ever had. Even something that simple was amazing by this hotel restaurant!
