"From the moment we approached the driveway I was taken aback. There’s a large pile of old tires at the bottom of the drive. The drive is several hundred feet long and very rutted and muddy. It badly needs to be regraveled, as does the parking area. The picture of the house on the listing is many years old, and it needs paint badly now. I know it’s a wet environment, but it’s not well maintained. Inside is not real clean. There’s a lot of mold, and a lot of basic repairs need to be done....

"Property beautifully presented, high level of cleanliness, nearly everything equipped just missing a couple of kitchen items, like small plates and heat protector stands. Price was expensive due to our original 2 week holiday which was booked 6 months in advance being cancelled 2 weeks prior to holiday date, which lead to booking this property as only property available on the Isle of Skye which made it expensive for a week!!"

The Skye Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Comfortable stay, great breakfast and staff"

Tongadale Hotel

8/10 Good

"Location wise this place was perfect, especially for the price point. It’s older so the amenities are a little outdated but we weren’t bothered (our bathroom was recently updated so that was a bonus). No onsite parking but seems the whole town parks at the community centre for no charge (about a 3 min walk from hotel). The pillows were horrible though so be warned."

Wow sea-view! walks, cliffs, wildlife - spacious contemporary home

10/10 Excellent

"This home is very modern, very clean and easy to be in. It is a fairly "technical" home, which is not a criticism, just sometimes a challenge for an old brain like mine. But the view was beautiful and the hosts very responsive and helpful. This part of Scotland is so beautiful, and this is a great place to enjoy it."

Traditional Croft House, modern interior, in stunning landscape, near the coast.

10/10 Excellent

"The property was great if you want to be out in the countryside. It is extremely quiet and away from everything except a few other houses. When we drove down the road to the house we saw at least 20 rabbits out in the field. If you want groceries to use the kitchen, make sure to plan ahead because it is quite a trip to get to the nearest grocery store (about a 20 minute drive each way along narrow roads). The beds were comfortable and the place is well decorated. The wood burning stove was a nice touch. Wood, fire starters, and matches were all provided."
