Communication before arrival was prompt and Taiko even dropped any plans to pick me up at the local station saving me money on further transport. "This is a really cool hotel and we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very modern and clean and we had a lot of room to move around. The staff was friendly and helpful. And I highly recommend the breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was one of the best I’ve had in Japan. Our only complaint was that we had to wait a long time in the lobby to check-in."

"My daughter and I have stayed at this hotel every summer 5 to 7 days past 12 years. We've stayed at corner queen and two double beds rooms. The rooms are not large, but modern, clean, and functional. The staff are good and helpful. The breakfast buffet features local dishes. It's excellent. The kitchen staff are good. The dining room is opened for free drinks, ice cream, and this year, for night time soba. There are larger rooms, which are great for families. There are always many people on their business trips. Minutes by walk to a large supermarket, seven eleven, Yamagata train station, and other places. It's more expensive than other hotels around the area."

The property is very picturesque with a nice garden & waterfall. - Great dinner in private dining room with helpful staff - Buffet breakfast was good with a wide range of quality food - Large bedroom with good beddings & aircond - Nice bathroom with separate toilet This hotel is at the top of our return list."

"Absolutely incredible! The staff was very friendly and the onsens were relaxing. We didn't realize there was a shiatsu massage chair in the room. That was a definite bonus. We went for the junior suite, which was a bit of a splurge, but worth every penny. I would definitely recommend the upgrade. "
