"Great location because right next to Mt naeba ski area. Hotel is a bit aged but sufficient. Ski rental, gear shop, convenience shop all within complex and no need to walk outdoor for these. Restaurants are plenty and most didn't need reservations (you could). Only thing the shuttle bus service is a bit less frequent than expected. But on the day we checked out the hotel arranged two buses due to popular demand, which was appreciated. Overall a pleasant stay and it is a good, kid friendly hotel...

"I have never had a bad stay at this hotel. I’ve visited this hotel 3 times since July of 2025. This last stay I had mistakenly hit the button for Single Smoking Room. When I discovered my mistake, the front desk staff quickly sorted me, and didn’t charge extra for a double room Non Smoking! The restaurants here are also delicious!"

"The hotel’s remote location and beautiful views were wonderful! The hotel’s shuttle from and to Echigo-Yuzawa Station was very much appreciated. From Check-in to check-out the staff service was excellent. The Japanese/Western room was spacious. We had a corner unit with a view of the snow and trees. "Great location. Older style hotel and our initial room was very poor and we were moved to an excellent room because the air conditioning didn’t work in the first one. The second room had excellent beds, aircon and space. The staff service was impeccable, particularly Miss Watanabe as she helped us with many things like booking restaurants and finding a good Onsen. The breakfast staff were also wonderful as were the cleaning staff and others at reception. The hotel is old but obviously some rooms...

"Very friendly hotel. The staff can speak English quite well which is always a bonus when you are in Japan. I like the library cafe where guests can have a coffee or heat up their dinner at eat at the table. Good place for business trave or short stay "
