ポルトベロ地区 ホテル

「This resort is one of those special places you find that redefines a vacation. It is about a 15 minute boat ride from the dock, occupying the back side of Isla Grande and looking out to the Caribbean Sea. We were there during low season in July, and were fortunate enough to be one of just a few visitors staying at the time. The wonderful staff contributed to this being one of our most cherished travel destinations. Ricardo, Jose and Daniel at the restaurants were so incredibly warm and...

「No hay agua caliente muy susio y el aire no bueno」

「The hotel is a sleepy bed breakfast located close to the coast next to a tiny village. The property is older it could do a facelift. The single rooms are small, but functional. The air condition worked great. The pool was a big plus .The staff was very helpful and accommodating. My biggest concern was lack of communication when we tried via Expedia to get more information about directions and check-in. However, it worked ok in the end.」

「I dont normally leave reviews, but Ciel y Miel was an absolute gem. We will 100% be staying again. The view alone is worth the stay (breathtaking). The staff is incredible, they made us feel like their only guests in every way. And the food is to die for! I have two new all-time-favorite dishes after dining here. There are a limited number of units, making the experience feel very exclusive. We had the private beach all to ourselves for an entire afternoon. If you're into the all-inclusive...

「Unfortunately never found the hotel as the map locator was 15 miles away. Looked for an hour on the map locator and couldn't find. Hopefully they fixed it now. DO NOT GO TO PORTOBELO village to find this hotel. Maps wrong.」

「Fijn klein zwembad, mooi uitzicht. Eenvoudige maar nette bungalow. Voordeel is dat boottochtjes vanuit hier vertrekken. Ten tijde van verblijf werd er verbouwd waardoor het restaurant helaas gesloten was. Overall fijne plek!」

「Biggest initial impression was the smell of old oil and fish from the water. They need to clean up the mess in the water near the restaurant. Room was nice for the cost. No one showed up to provide breakfast this morning even though the sign said 8 am. So we went hungry. Left the room key on the door handle as no one showed up so we could check out. At dinner, they were out of every menu item I selected. 5th choice for dinner. Lucky, there was only one other menu item left.」

「This is not an apartment in Portobelo like the map indicates. It's a house about a mile outside of town and it's a bit rundown. The AC can't keep up with the heat and the entire house has a slight musty smell. I left 2 weeks ago and I still can't get the musty smell out of my CPAP machine. We left early after only 2 nights because the house was so hot and and uncomfortable. The host was great. Very friendly and responsive and he provided great information on local attractions, but he was...

「Absolutely amazing!!The property is exactly as advertised. Very spacious condo, very clean and it was equipped with everything we needed. The beach and resort are perfect for a family vacation. The host was fantastic! Very friendly, and made the communication process very easy! My family and I had a wonderful time! We are definitely coming back!」

「Staff, especially William, was helpful. The elevator did not work for a couple of days and 8th floor was a bit of a walk. The driveway access is in a really poor condition. The room was just fine. 」

「Ocean view! Peaceful and the staff was SUPER attentive and friendly.」

「No internet, No hot water,no swimming in front of villa - a real unpleasant North American (= owner)experience , in beautiful Central America」

「First, when you get to the place you get a huge hill which isnt really easy to get up, they would send someone to help you getting your car up. The place is really nice and quiet. A lot of mosquitoes since its basically a mountain, there is a -jungle- next to the area. Moving around isnt that easy but the staff is willing to help. Had a really long waiting time for the Caribbean Restaurante they work with deliver the food (took around 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a octopus fillet and a pizza)...

「This property was well kept and managed, even with a few glitches the property owners were very responsive. It’s a peaceful environment we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.」
