"What an incredible place to stay! The property was beautiful and the house had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The host was wonderful and even met as at the front of the property to take us to our location. He answered all our questions and gave us a tour. The view was amazing and the pool was right there! "The Drake Bay Getaway was an unexpected delight! Views from the room were exquisite, as each villa is perched on a hillside with an ocean view. The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family! Meals were beautifully prepared, offering a sampling of the local food. The location was great too, allowing for quiet relaxation, yet still convenient for activities."

"The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas....

"Beautiful and safe property. We loved our overnight stay on our way from Monteverde to Osa and Drake Bay. Nice trails for an early morning hike, coupled with a great breakfast made a perfect start to our morning. Toucans, howler monkeys and a gorgeous sunset made this stay one of our favorites. Clean room and wonderful staff were appreciated. We stayed in the Manu room."

I loved it however, both ATV transfers we asked for didn't materialise which, esp for the route back, was mildly annoying. Being in the room whilst it was raining cats and dogs during the night was incredible"
